The crowd like they were around our age, like either freshman or sophomores. "What's going on?" Leo asked one of the people. "The DG is doing challengers in Dance Mat Battles!" said the guy, clearly excited like the rest of the crowd. I was a little short so I couldn't see over the sea of people. But then something came to mind. I leaned to my right and called Leo. "Psst! Leo!" he came over to me. "Yeah?" He was taller than me so he could see over them. "Stand behind me!" I said. Clueless, he stood behind me. I closed me eyes and thought very hard about floating again. I was successful, and I felt lighter than the air. "What do you think you're doing Kiara!" he spoke only so that I can hear. I flashed him a smile. "What do you think?" I said. Now I could see over them, and sure enough, I could see two people moving either right, left, back and front, following the arrows as they lit up. The guy on the left was doing pretty well, while the other one was getting tired by the minute. Finally, he stopped completely, while the crowd cheered. "He's done it again! is there anyone who wants to challenge the Dance God?" shouted another boy into a mic. "What's the big deal? It's just following arrows!" I said, but unfortunately the music had stopped and what I said was pretty much audible to everyone around me. "Crap!" I whispered. The 'Dance God' snatched the mic. "Who dares to speak? Show yourself!"
I took a deep breath and moved forward. "Kiara! What are you doing?" Greg whisper-shouted. I mouthed to him 'i got this!' and went further. "So you spoke! You have a lot of guts, don't you princess?" I clenched my fists at the nickname he gave me. But I didn't speak. "Kiara!" Nate whispered this time. The rude boy looked behind me at Leo, Nate and Greg. "Your friends? You look like a bunch of freaks with all those colors!" and the crowd laughed. "Do what you want, but don't talk about my friends!" I said firmly. "Well there's only one thing you can do to pay for what you said!" and everybody in the crowd cheered. "BATTLE! BATTLE! BATTLE!"
"You want a battle? Fine. That's what you'll get!" I said. I took off my jacket and bag and tossed it to Leo, then went to the mat. Honestly, I was a little nervous, but at the same time I wanted to put this 'God' to a proper place of respecting others. The lights in the room dimmed. And the screen flashed with select song. "I'm choosing the first song to teach you a lesson!" he said, and chose a song of Master section. A fast up-beat song started up, and I looked down, the arrows were glowing fast. For the first few moments, I was a little lost. Some people laughed, but I took no notice of it. After a while, the first round was over, and I lost. "Seriously! If you keep going like this, I'll crush you flat princess!" said Dance God. "Oh just you wait!" I said and walked over to the boys. "Give me a water bottle." I said, and held my hand out. Leo opened my bag and took it out and gave it to me. Immediately, I closed my eyes, took a sip of water, and like the fountain, i rose up slightly in the air and came back down. Eyes still closed, I could feel the energy flowing through my blood; I felt like nothing could stop me. I closed the bottle and then opened my eyes. The boys gasped. "What?" I asked them. "You-" said Greg. "Your eye-balls, they... they're pink, surrounded by a black ring!" said Nate. "You literally look like a badass woman right now! With like your pink hair and eyes, you look like you can beat anything!" said Leo. "I feel like I can beat anything, so yeah! Anyway, let's burn the stage!" I smirked and said, and got back to the mat, refilled with energy.
