From the next morning, I went down only when I knew that no-one was around. The boys knew that i didn't want to see them, but they always left me something to eat or whatever. Like this, 1 week passed. Honestly, I missed them a little, but I had to put up with it. I had only Lexi to keep me company, but nothing could make me laugh like the twins or make me smile like Leo. But every time i opened my palm towards something, a ball of fire still hit the spot. Nothing would burn, but still it would push things out of its place. So, i found a pair of gloves so I could open my palms.
"Good morning KC! How you feeling today?" I heard Lexi from the study table where my watch was. "I feel terrible. I miss talking to them, Lexi." I said, and buried my face in my hands. "Then talk to them. You've calmed down. Go. Even though I don't have the emotion program in my database, I can still tell how you feel. Talk to them." she said, waving her hand forward. "But before that, you need to get ready. I got a notification that we're meeting Dr. Cullen today." she continued. I changed into a spy suit, set up my security alarms, put on my gloves and stood at the top of the stairs. I was feeling great on the outside. But on the inside, I was scared and nervous. "Ok girl. You got this." taking deep breaths, I slowly walked downstairs. I was not expecting anyone to be there exactly, but someone with familiar blue hair was lying down on the couch. "Leo..." I whispered. Immediately he jumped up and pushed me to the wall, eyes burning bright blue, hand on my throat, almost starting to choke me. "Oh my god! Kiara!" he let go of me but immediately pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry. I didn't... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I-"
"Hey, it's alright. You were just being cautious." I whispered, patting him. He pulled away and looked at me. "How are you? I- I'm really, REALLY sorry!!" he said softly. I gave him a small smile. "I'm alright now." I said, and walked to the couch. "Kiara. Please don't be upset, but I want to ask you something." he said, turning towards me. I turned to him. "Yeah?"
"What happened that day? Why didn't you talk to us for a week?" he said. "That day..." I told him about the Fox and what had happened. "So that happened." I said and looked towards the ceiling. "Why did you hide then?" he asked, quite seriously. "You saw it. The day when Nate tried to talk to me. I almost blew up the house. I knew that I was out of control after I turned into that...whatever I turned into. I was afraid. You guys are like literally my family. I couldn't hurt you." I said and looked at him. "That's why i wear these." I said and showed my gloves to him. "This past week, every time I opened my palm, a ball of harmless but strong fire would shoot out of it." I looked down at the ground but Leo immediately got up and took my hand. "Take off your glove." he said. "What? Why?" I asked. "Trust me." he said and just looked at me. I slowly nodded and started taking off my glove. I clenched my fists. "Relax." he said. I started opening my fingers slowly, and I closed my eyes so tightly. My hands were warm, I could feel it, but I could also feel coolness on it too. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see something beautiful...
