Chapter 1

Hanguang jun died??
It's been 5 days after the night hunt held by all the major sects in order to get rid of a witch named Fu Jiali - a child eating demon and another demon named Hu feng. The hunt had caused the Gusu Lan Clan and all the cultivation sects to pay a huge price. The His Excellency, Hanguang jun Lan Wangji of Gusu had undergone death in order to save everyone and supress these demons.

In Gusu Market Street,
"Yah, have you heard that Wei gonzi have locked himself in jinshi" a man asked his neighbour." Hmm, what else do you think would have happened. Poor Wei gonzi."
" Hanguang jun has died."
"It's a great loss."
Such rumors had covered every where.
The news of death of the strongest cultivator in the mortal world had spred far and wide. It was said that after enduring all those heavy injuries Hanguang jun had disappeared into thin air.
In cloud recesses
Everyone was sad, heart broken and crying endlessly for there Hanguang jun. No one knew he was dead or alive. Many had believed that he had died due to the injuries he had endured. While others could not make themselves able to believe that he was no more. All of a sudden Lan Qiren barged towards jinshi his youngest nephews room where he and his spouse used to live. But after that incidence Wei Wuxian had locked himself inside jinshi and had not allowed a single person not even his beloved daughter Lan Yanli. He had not even taken a single drop of water from past five days.
Lan Xichen and Jiang Wanyin were following him as soon as they knew about his purpose. No one was able to bring Wuxian out of jinshi all these days. So the last option they were left with was to force him out.
As soon as they reached at the door of jinshi all there heart had stopped for a second. This was there Wangji's room, the room which no one dared to enter without his permission. And now the silent room was truly silent...
Due to all these days the spell on the door had became weak. Lan Qiren used his blood to completely dispell it.
As soon as the door opened they saw a fragile man with his hair completely free, eyes swollen due to continuous crying, his clothes were all dirty, on his lap was a white robe, tightly clutching on a blue charm near his heart, laying on ground with his head placed on the study table. This man was Wei Wuxian the Yiling Patriarch who the whole world is afraid of. The scene was too bad that no one was able to move there limb a inch and enter the room.
After some time Lan Xichen was the first to enter the room along with Lan Qiren. Jiang Cheng was unable to see his brother in such state so he decided to go to his niece who was in the same position as her a- niang or fufu. Wei Ying had not even blinked at the sudden barging of his in laws. It was as if his soul has already left his body nothing mattered to him. He was in the same position, Xichen tried his best to talk to his 'difu' who was not paying a bit of attention to him. Unable to continue with this he left jinshi with tears in his eyes. His 'didi' whom he loved the most in this world was no more, there was no news about him - was he alive or dead nothing he knew on the other hand his difu and his nephew and niece were in a very bewildered state, he was so feeling helpless to do anything. It was same that happened years ago when Wei Wuxian had died.
Lan Qiren was watching everything, he knew that both his nephew and the child in front of him had suffered alot. He had seen how much they loved each other all these past 12 years of there marriage. There love had only increased with the time. With a heavy breath he approached Wei Wuxian and sat beside him on the ground he took Wei Wuxian head and placed it on his lap. There relationship had improved alot in these past years. Wei Wuxian was like his own child now, he loved and even spoiled this nephew in law of his. He even allowed him to break several Sect rules which he never had allowed his nephews to do. He slightly patted Wei Wuxians head and said " Wuxian it's been five days since you have returned and locked yourself in this room. The same is with your kids",he sighed and continued "sizhui and a- li are continuously crying both have not drink a drop of water past these days. A- li is just six years and it's not good for her to be like this. You should also look at yourself . You were already skinny and now look at yourself. What will I answer Wangji when he returns? Hmm." Jiang Cheng after seeing Zewu jun crying had came here to try to approach his brother. After hearing this he was almost shocked that Lan Qiren was giving false hope to his brother but even he had hoped that this would work and Wei Ying would stop this self destructive seclusion. As if he got a thin thread of hope Wei Ying raised his head and his eyes met his uncle's eyes and it started to tear up. When Qiren saw this he immediately took his child in his embrace and tried to calm him down but whom was he trying to fool he himself was unable to hold on and started to tear up.
On hearing the news of Wei Wuxians seclusion Baoshen Sanren had arrived at Gusu and the scene that she encountered was more hazardous, each and every person from seniors to disciples even servants were crying there heart out. No one knew anything about Wangji. On the way she saw Lan Xichen trying coax his nephew and niece to atleast drink something. It's been five days and every one was fasting no one was able to eat anything. On seeing her Xichen stood up and saluted her and took her to jinshi, Xiao Bai who came along with her stopped near the kids and her senior sister Xiao Jiayi who had also arrived to take care of the injured other disciples and leaders.
Both Baoshen Sanren and Lan Xichen were astonished at the scene of Lan Qiren and Wei Wuxian embracing each other and crying. It was the first ever time Xichen had seen his uncle cry. At the door the Jiang Sect Leader, Jiang Cheng was also shredding tears. As he saw the two standing beside him wiping his tears he saluted them. Nodding her head she entered jinshi. Wei Wuxian had already fallen asleep in the embrace, with the help of Jiang Cheng and Xichen they placed him on the bed without waking him up. He had not left the charm he had held on all this time.
Lan Qiren got up from his place and stood near Baoshen Sanren who was now checking on Wei Wuxians vitals. They explained her everything that happened during these days and how the kids have also not ate anything. Wei Ying had held Lan Qirens hand using his free hand so he stayed there and others left. After taking one last peek at his brother, Jiang Cheng also left with them.
Lan Xichen had called all the disciples in the hall room and strictly asked them to have there food and from tomorrow onwards continue there regular routine. Even though it was hard for him he had to do it as the Sect Leader. Jiang Cheng also had to return to yunmeng as he was the Sect leader.
Xiao Bai and Jiayi were taking care of kids, so Baoshen Sanren along with Cheng and Xichen took the food for Wei Ying and Lan Qiren to jinshi. She had forced both of them to eat the food along with the kids.
