I can't tell you happy the scene above made me

Well dang we at chapter 20!

Thank you guys so much for reading!!

One thing you should know about Mara Turner is that she was a two faced, backstabbing bitch. Even worse, she was probably the smartest person you have and ever will meet. For example she had been at William McKinley High School and already had dirt on two of the most well known kids in the school. For her it was very easy.  She had everyone she met wrapped around her little finger. And once she sets her mind to something, there's no stopping her.

Which is one thing that made her so terrifying. You did not want to make her an enemy. Kurt Hummel had unfortunately already done that without even knowing.

"Okay guys! Something really exciting is happening today." Mr. Schue said with enthusiasm. He opened the door and a girl walked in, her head held high. "Someone is auditioning today! Mara, take it away."

Mara stood in the center of the choir room, inducing multiple types of reactions. Quinn, who looked sick to her stomach. Blaine, who seemed confused yet excited. And of course Rachel who already felt threatened. "I guess I'll be singing a song from one of my favorite musicals. Don't Rain on My Parade, from Funny Girl."

Rachel lost it. She jumped up and started shouting about how it was her song. "Mr. Schue, no! I refuse to let her join. I forbid it." Rachel was fuming.

"Rachel, you don't control who gets to be in glee club." Mr. Schue explained. "Now Mara, show us what you got."

Mara handed out sheet music to Brad and the band, and waited for them to be ready before she started singing.

Don't tell me not to live
Just sit and putter
Life's candy and the sun's
A ball of butter
Don't bring around a cloud
To rain on my parade

Don't tell me not to fly
I've simply got to
If someone takes a spill
It's me and not you
Who told you you're allowed
To rain on my parade

I'll march my band out
I'll beat my drum
And if I'm fanned out
Your turn at bat, sir
At least I didn't fake it
Hat, sir, I guess I didn't make it
But whether I'm the rose
Of sheer perfection
Or freckle on the nose
Of life's complexion
The cinder or the shiny apple of its eye

I gotta fly once

I gotta try once

Only can die once, right, sir?
Ooh, life is juicy
Juicy, and you see
I gotta have my bite, sir
Get ready for me, love
'Cause I'm a commer
I simply gotta march
My heart's a drummer
Don't bring around a cloud
To rain on my parade

I'm gonna live and live now
Get what I want, I know how
One roll for the whole show bang
One throw, that bell will go clang
Eye on the target and wham
One shot, one gun shot, and bam
Hey, Mister Arnstein
Here I am

I'll march my band out

I will beat my drum
And if I'm fanned out
Your turn at bat, sir
At least I didn't fake it
Hat, sir, I guess I didn't make it
Get ready for me, love
'Cause I'm a commer
I simply gotta march
My heart's a drummer
Nobody, no, nobody
Is gonna rain on my parade
