"Techno?" Wilbur reached his hand out as he watched his friend board the ship. The ship taking Techno away from him. This ship, the last time he might see his best friend.

"Techno?" Wilbur tried again, looking his friend in the eye. This can't be real, Techno can't be leaving like this. Not after everything they had done together, not after everything Wilbur had done for him..

They met 15 years ago, when Techno was only 2 years old. They met on this very dock Wilbur stood today, when Techno was an immigrant to this foreign nation, his old home ravaged by war, the same war Wilbur lost his mother in. Wilbur and his father pretty much adopted the young boy who was orphaned only days after his 2nd birthday. Wilbur took Techno in as his brother, as his best friend. They took Techno in as a prince to this new nation.

He didn't want to believe it, he didn't want to believe that Techno would leave him like this, but as the ship slowly began to move, he knew it had to be done.

Wilbur watched as Techno disappeared into the distance, the pink haired man wearing a crown on his head, standing tall, awaiting his new future. Wearing Wilbur's crown that he had given him so many years ago. Wilbur thought they'd stay friends forever, or at least a little longer. He didn't think it would all end like this, it was too soon, everything was too soon.

"Wilbur.." Techno sat with Phil, quietly muttering his friends' name. They had left the dock 30 minutes ago, but Techno still couldn't believe it, he couldn't believe that he left his friend like that. His friend who was practically a brother.

"Techno, everything will be alright. We'll start this new nation, we'll see Wilbur again someday alright?" Techno nodded, trying to be reassured by Phil's words, just he couldn't. He tried to keep his head up high, only now, his confidence was slipping, and with it, his crown.

Techno looked out. He looked out at the blue sky, the sparkling navy water that was this vast ocean. It reminded him of Wilbur, of NewFoundland, of home. It reminded him of the gaping hole in his heart, the hole leaving that home had created.

He didn't want to tell anyone, but he was homesick, he was wishing he could go back. He missed Wilbur, he missed Tubbo, he missed everyone he had met back there. The guilt of leaving them all was uncontrollable, slowly tearing him apart.

He hated to admit it, but he was broken. He regretted everything.
