"So tell me love.. how'd you really end up here?" His left shoulder slightly touching my right shoulder as we're sat side by side. We both slouch since the benches didn't have a back support and just stare straight ahead at the stilled cherry blosso...

September 1st 2017 (Still the first day)
Danielle Scott
I don't know why in the world I ignored my own promise for the third time today, but I pretended like I never made the promise in the first place. Now I usually wouldn't break or disobey my own promises but for some odd out of this world reason I was breaking my own rules today. -
Harry had stayed to eat with me for lunch and tried making basic small talk with me throughout the half hour. I noticed that he never went too far with any personal questions which I mentally thanked him for. I certainly didn't need anyone asking me questions about my personal life.
Soon enough, the bell rang meaning lunch was over. One last class and we'd be going home.
I get up and start walking out of the cafeteria and towards my next class while Harry tried catching up beside me.
"What's your last class?" He asks me jogging up beside me after throwing his trash away.
"Uh.. I believe I have Choir last." I answer with a monotone voice while analyzing my schedule in my hands. He snaps his head towards me and gives me a wide grin.
"I guess we'll definitely be seeing each other more often then." He happily insinuates that we're in the same last class- choir.
I just nod raising my eyebrows and put on a closed lip fake smile at his reaction entering the class together as he shows me where to sit for now and what to do. There was a beautiful black grand piano located right at the center of the classroom with a black bench stool. There was also a mini stage in front of the piano about two feet tall and the seated area resembled auditorium seating. I instantly recognized the structure of the room. It was a perfectly sized room with round walls for any sound to bounce off the walls and echo nicely in here.
Harry then started explaining something about our choir teacher determining my voice range to see whether i'd be in the Soprano section or the Alto section. Instantly, I tensed up because it's been almost a year since I last sang or played a musical instrument at all. I tried to hide my reluctant behavior so that Harry wouldn't see. I didn't want him to start asking questions that would lead to answers I wasn't ready to dive into.
Once we got to the sitting area, the teacher came out of what looked like a little office in the corner and he was accompanied by a nameless young man. He hopped onto the stage and started introducing the young man who was with him and himself.
"Hello students! I'm Mr. Corden and I will be your choir teacher for the year! I'd also like to introduce this young talented man who goes by the name of Jake. One of my graduate students from four years ago, who has been here to intern with us as our pianist, every single year for the last four years, so thank you Jake! Now, I was informed we have a new student in the class as well!" He speaks so full of enthusiasm as he searches around for his clipboard.
