Beep!! Beep!! Beep!!
Beep!! Beep!! Beep!!

I smack my screeching alarm clock off my bedside table and wake up forced. I didn't have my alarm clock set up before, but since I started school yesterday, it is now set up to ring every morning at six.

I huff as I pull the covers off my warm body and instantly get chills all over. I hugged my body because it seemed unusually cold in here but it wasn't until my window curtain flew open that I realized I had left my window open since last night. Of course it'd feel like the fucking North Pole up in here by now.

I slap my forehead with my hand in regret and get up quickly to shut it. I pick my alarm clock back up and place it back on the table seeing it's eight minutes past six in the morning now. As soon as I read the time, I ran to take a hot shower but I made sure not to take long since I have school that starts at seven fifteen in the morning and I don't want to be late on my second day.

I hurry up and finish showering in ten minutes. Then I take out my blow dryer so I can dry my brunette hair before leaving the house. Once I did that I picked my outfit out, putting it on and hurrying downstairs to have something light to eat.

As soon as I got downstairs, Aunt Beth was sitting at the kitchen table drinking her daily scorching cup of coffee staring me down evilly.

As soon as I entered the kitchen, she put down her mug and started typing away at her laptop as usual

As soon as I entered the kitchen, she put down her mug and started typing away at her laptop as usual. She tried to look very invested in whatever she was typing, and too busy to acknowledge me face to face.

"Morning. Don't be late." She speaks the same dry words every morning, not taking her sight off the computer screen at all. I go make a small piece of toast and add some butter.

"Morning.." I answer back quietly. Tiredness coating my tone of voice.

"Look Danielle, I understand that you felt devastated when the accident happened but it's been almost one year now, stop acting like it just happened last night. Grow up. You have to get over it someday." She speaks up once again in a condescending manner, seeming annoyed by me. But when doesn't she.

No. You never understood how I felt and you don't understand how I feel now either. How can you assume that i'll get over my parent's death's someday?!
