"What is the difference between a fish and a piano?" My father grinned while telling us another one of his silly jokes.

He looked between the both of us eagerly waiting to see if we knew the answer.

He picked up a napkin to wipe the corners of his mouth after the burger he just had a few seconds ago.

I laughed beforehand having a feeling that I already did know the answer to this one but let him have his moment anyways. On the other hand, my mother hadn't heard this one yet and was genuinely ready to hear the answer.

"Hm I don't know honey what is it?" She smiles sweetly at him while finishing her chocolate milkshake.

I pick up my last french fry and pop it into my mouth while waiting for him to answer.

"You can't tuna fish!" He answers his voice going higher pitch than usual to make it more dramatic. Although I did guess the answer correctly in my head, I still laughed out loud finding the joke super cliche.

"Oh how I love you both!" I sweetly let them know between laughs.

Whether my father's jokes are actually funny or just silly and cliche, his sense of humor never fails to make me laugh, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

"We love you baby!" My mother says to me still laughing at the joke, but squeezing my left hand to let me know she heard me.

"We love you sweetie!" My father tells me as well right after my mom answers. He held my other hand and embraced my mother into a side hug with his left arm. Placing a sweet kiss on her forehead, he smiled at her and told her he loved her and my mother reciprocated his exact words- 'I love you honey'.

They were both smiling so lovingly at each other while I sat in front of them adoringly admiring the both of them and the heartfelt love they had for one another.

I made sure to cherish this moment right here forever..

My father had nothing but pure love and adoration for my mother and I knew that it was the most wholeheartedly thing in the world because she felt exactly the same about him.

I knew then that if I were to ever experience this so called 'love' again one day, that I wanted it to be just like theirs.

A rare breathtaking mutual love.

" -folks this is an emergency weather warning! There is indeed a rainstorm said to happen in the next hour or so, so get home quick if you're out or stay home and don't go out if you were planning to! New York city's going to experience a downpour and it's safer to stay at home within the comforts of your own home!" The weather man's panicked voice came echoing through the diner's radio, interrupting our laughter with a warning about heavy rain.

We pull our hands apart and our eyes immediately snap to the radio as an instinct and then I quickly turn back to look out the window next to me to see it does look pretty windy and cloudy besides the darkness of nightfall approaching.
