Harry Styles
X-factor.
There it is. The building standing tall in front of my view. My destination.
If you're wondering- weren't they supposed to start uni today?
You're right. We were. But we postponed our arrival time for another week due to the X-Factor. I couldn't pass up this opportunity when it's all i've ever wanted.
Therefore, here I am in my hometown.
England.
My mum and Dani are here accompanying me through every minute. They keep reassuring me to relax and that everything will be fine, but I can't help but feel a bit nervous.
We enter the building and go straight to check in with the receptionist. She gives us all the instructions and wishes us good luck.
I find my way in through all the fancy people standing around and spot the host. I tell him who I am and what i'm here for and he welcomes us. He starts interviewing us for the show and I go along with it because it's part of the agreement when coming here. I've agreed to let them interview me at the moment of check in.
My mum and Dani stand off to the side while I answer some questions and soon they were requested to come answer some simple things like if they were proud of me and if they were excited and all.
Before I knew it, live auditions were starting.
Everybody wished each other good luck and went their separate ways. I went backstage with the rest of the people auditioning while mum and Dani went and took their spot by the stage, hidden behind the black curtain.
The first person went out to audition and just like that came the next one and the next one and so on. I was told i'd be the last person auditioning and so that time finally came.
I hear the host's muffled voice beginning to speak from backstage so I make my way towards the stage entrance awaiting my cue.
"All the way from Whitebridge, New York but originally from here, from London, England... I give to you Harry Styles!"
My mum and Dani give me one last hug as I squeeze my microphone with sweaty palms before walking out into the blinding lights.
I wave at everyone as I go to center stage and introduce myself.
"Hi, my name's Harry Styles. Erm- i'm 18 and I was born and raised here in London.. but I moved to Whitebridge, New York at the age of 14."
"Hi Harry, i'm Indy. Nice meeting you, why is it that you moved away from your hometown?" A female judge with dark blue and black hair introduces herself to me.
