"You alright?" Octavia wonders as we wonder at the back of our small herd. Turning corners I wave Octavia off but she continues to point out "Your eyes are red-"

"Please just ignore it O", I try to shut her down, shaking my head when hope glances worriedly over her shoulder beside Diyoza "I'm fine."

Yet Octavia doesn't seem to want to let it go "You finally let yourself feel it. Didn't you?" I remain silent. I did a lot of feeling last night. I felt fantastic. To say I cried myself to sleep sounds utterly pathetic but that's what happened. Right on the cement floor of my new bedroom. "I understand better than most and you know it" Octavia still tries prying "I know exactly what you and my brother had but I can only help if you let me Ave."

"What I need is something to focus on," I tell Octavia as Anders leads us down another path, suggesting "Once something else shoves its way into my mind it'll all be alright." Chuckling to myself, I mutter "If I'm lucky my brain'll break from a data overload." When Octavia remains silent I find my curiosity leading me to peek at her sideways. From the way her eyes flicker around the minimalistic corridor, I'm thinking Octavia isn't thrilled with my response. But this is how I cope. I find a project, refocus, and bury the issue. At least I'm not beating anyone to a pulp so why don't we all look on the bright side of this shit show.

"I know you only agreed to Disciple training because you wished to get out of your cells", Anders voices form the form of our group, Disciple guards hovering around us. I don't doubt it's for his own protection. "That is because you are blind to what is really going on. I'm about to open your eyes to the truth of our cause."

Noticing we're being led towards the elevator, Octavia uneasily questions "Where are we going?"

"I realize that taking things on faith isn't in your nature- particularly for you Miss Armelle", a tight smile weaves onto my face when I pass Anders inside the elevator. Without pausing, he follows us inside alone "So I'm going to show you what happens if we lose the last war." Pulling out a slate, I watch a blue light come out to scan Anders's eye. An ID...An EYE-D. A tiny giggle falls from my lips when he commands "Surface."
