Halloween night was finally upon us, despite Areum not being a fan of most things scary and spooky. She couldn't say the same about the parties; those were her favorites. Last year, she and the typical crew might've overdone it by going to as many different parties on campus or nearby as they could, and even though none of them could remember how they made it back to the boy's house without a scratch on them, they considered it a win night.
This year was going to be a little different, since Jimin and Namjoon were picked to be part of the house members in charge of planning their themed party this year. Naturally, the girls decided to just hang around the guy's place since the boys couldn't really leave their own party, and of course, Areum and Ji were asked to stay after to help clean and would be paid nicely with breakfast or dinner if they could even handle food in the morning.
Game night, divided into stations. Glow stick bracelets for relationship status. Green-single, red-taken, Yellow-open-minded.
Areum was, of course, wearing green; Namjoon and Ji were wearing the red bracelets, and Jimin was wearing green and yellow. Against his own rules stating you can only pick one color, but Jimin was never a rule follower, and I guess that also included his own rules.
The party was in full swing by the time the clock struck 9 pm. Most of the game stations were full of players, so Areum just sat back in the living room with Ji, Namjoon, and Yoongi, who was also sporting a green glow stick bracelet. A cup sweating in her hand, full of tangy beer. It wasn't her favorite alcohol to sip, but it was the easiest thing to grab from the drink table at the moment.
Giggles and teasing oohs erupted from across the room at the beer pong table. Two people who had just won the round stood way too close before they snuggled up into a kiss. Two people who absolutely should not have been flirting, let alone making out.
"Well," Ji said slowly, leaning forward. "That's... unexpected." Areum's shocked eyes met Ji's while nodding in agreement
"Aren't they, like, sworn enemies?" Namjoon insisted with a confused head scratch.
Yoongi grinned. "Not according to the love survey."
"The what?" Namjoon questioned.
"The cupid love survey shit," Yoongi said, already tipsy. "You know—the compatibility thing they had me and Jungkook pass out at the Halloween fair? They matched people up for tonight," but Namjoon still looked confused and shrugged his shoulders.
Areum frowned. " I never got my results."
Yoongi blinked at her. "Yeah, you did."
