"baby your birthdays this month!" i happily say in a sing-song tone.
"yeaa." sahar says in a nonchalant voice.
"you're not excited?" i ask her.
"im not big on birthdays." her face is straight. "not mine at least."
"well i can't wait to spend it with you." i tell her.
she perks up a bit and a smile grows on her face. "i can't wait to spend it with you also." i smile as well and lean in to give her a quick kiss.
"would you mind if i hung out with jessie and annika today?"
i feel myself getting sad at the thought of her leaving, but i quickly change my face. "no go ahead, who's annika though?"
she smiles at the thought of her name. "one of my friends that i used to hang out with a lot, i
really want you to meet her."
"ohh okay." i say, questioning why she got so happy when i said her name. "when are you leaving?"
"in like a hour." i nod when she says that and we both go back to talking about what we were before.
