"your phones ringing." taryn says.
i sigh, put down my mascara, and stand up to look for my phone.
i search around my bed before picking it up and accepting the call.
"hi mom." i walk back over to my vanity and hold the phone up to my ear with my shoulder.
"hi mija." she says.
"what's up?" i ask.
"come over today, you have some packages here. plus i wanna see you!" she says happily.
"i can't." i say.
"why not?" she asks.
"i haven't seen bil in a little, so i already planned to go over." i tell her.
"schedule it for another day! your sister is coming too. please?" she asks.
i stay silent for a moment. "yeah, okay. ill be over in a hour."
"okay, love you." she says.
"love you too." i say before hanging up.
i huff and pick my mascara back up. "what's wrong?" taryn asks.
"i have to go over my moms."
"why's that bad thing?"
"because i was gonna go hang out with bil." i laugh.
"oh yeahhh."
i twist the cap on my mascara and close it before grabbing my phone again.
