Thailand was something else.
Taehyung had never been to a place so beautiful. The water. The rocks. The colours. The people. The temples.
He could stay here forever.
The trip around with the tour guide was so helpful. The pair were able to experience the culture more, eat more of the local food but at the end of the day they would return to their isolated rented home. That was where Taehyung had 'spawned' initially. The island itself was quite isolated from anywhere else, but they weren't the only ones there.
Through conversations with Hobi, Taehyung was able to learn new information. They had been in thailand for about a week now. And apparently this wasn't the end of it.
They had a few other countries to visit. It became apparent that neither of them work. Or at least it was nothing urgent because they had already been gone for weeks and apparently would be gone for months. They travelled. That much he knew.
And he was so grateful. He knew not many people got to live this life of luxury. Hobi would spend a lot of money like it was nothing. Taehyung of course didn't want to ask, because he had to pretend this was his life and he already knew everything.
So all he knew now was they travelled, Hobi seemed loaded, and he was also very loving towards Taehyung. They were having a lot of fun.
Taehyung was going to enjoy this life. It was beautiful. Hobi was beautiful. He radiated such positivity, such energy. Taehyung wished he had a person like him in his real life. The happiness he radiated and made Taehyung feel was unmeasurable.
When they walked through the markets Hobi would select things for Taehyung, place them around his neck or on his head, and making comments about how godly he looked. Taehyung would laugh until his stomach hurt. He laughed so often with Hoseok. Due to Hoseok. He was this little bright positive happy light.
He loved him. It was quick. But fuck he would be lying if he said he didn't. After all it had been a few days already. He had a feeling that this whole in-between life thing meant that somehow it was easier to fall in love. It was quicker than standard normal life love. He didn't mind.
He was sad in a way. He knew this was his last life. He would have make that dreaded choice. And how was he meant to do it?
He didn't want to think about that now. Not when he and Hobi were literally about to make their way to another country. He wasn't scared of anything. Hoseok had money and that meant options.
The boys were currently in an aiport, looking at the board of flights due to leave.
"Where next baby" Hoseok hums out, looking over the options.
Taehyung loved the sun. Here, in this life, he loved it. He loved the water. He wanted something similar. So his eyes scan all of the possibilities. "How about, hm. Fiji? Bahamas? Bora Bora?"
"Oo Bora Bora sounds gooda gooda" Hoseok replies.
"Oh my god you.." Taehyung sighs out, smacking Hoseok in the arm. The boy sniggers and grabs Taehyung by the arm to start pulling him towards the desk.
"Bora Bora then come on".
It was so strange how they were able to just select a destination and go off with such ease. How great of a life?
The plane ride over was long. But of course the boys bought first class seats and it was all extremely comfortable.
"We should hire out a private island" Hobi hums out, looking over at Taehyung at the ten hour mark.
"We what?"
"You know you can get like a small little island to yourself. With this little house right by the water. That would be nice don't you think? Just us?"
Was Hoseok seriously able to arrange that? Taehyung's mind was blown.
"Y-Yeah sounds like an amazing idea".
Hoseok's bright smile appeared, and he reached over to grab Taehyung by the hand. "Sometimes it still seems to shock you. How I spend my money".
"I didn't grow up in a rich family" Taehyung explains. Of course Hobi knew this already. He forgot.
"And I did. So, I guess I'm just so used to this. My dad buying a new helicopter every other month. Or my mum renting out the whole mall. My sister spending nearly a million on a car. It's normal. I never show it off though", the words seem to go off into a monologue. Like Hoseok is explaining his actions to himself more so than Tae.
"I never use it as a power thing. I never shove it in people's faces".
"I know" Taehyung decides to add.
"My dad earned this money. And if it helps us have a good life, then it isn't a sin right?"
"It's not. It's yours to do whatever you want with".
"Hey this reminds me. We're away from water so..." Hoseok reaches into a little pouch that he had by his seat. Taehyung watches as he digs about for something, and then pulls our two silver rings. He hands one to Taehyung with a smile "Let's put them back on. We're not gonna lose them here so".
Oh. God. They were...married?
"I like looking down at my hand and remembering that we're getting married".
Ah. Engaged. Taehyung grabs the ring with a smile and places it on his finger. Once it's on there he can't help but just look at his hand. He begins to wonder who proposed to who. When. Where. Was it done at a beautiful place like Thailand? How long has it been? Have they started planning it yet? So many questions.
"It's not going anywhere hun, you don't have to stare at it so hard" Hoseok teases, grabbing the hand Taehyung was looking at so that he could press a kiss to his knuckles. "I love you".
Taehyung looks over at his happy fiance and smiles wholeheartedly. "I love you too".
