Chase stood outside of his best friend and girlfriend's dorm room, holding Charli's hand as he took a deep breath.
Charli: "What if she asks us who the father is."
Chase: "She will have to accept that you and I are having this baby and that we are together because I told you... I'm not going anywhere. We are in this together."
Charli: "What if she doesn't forgive me?"
Chase: "She's been my best friend as far back as her first memory. She has to forgive me and that means she'll forgive you because I'm in love with you."
Charli: "I love you too, Chase."
*END CHASE'S POV*
Charli walked into the room and you immediately felt uncomfortable being between her and Jaden until she moves and you see Chase follow her inside. He sat next to her and as he took a deep breath, she rubbed his back. You didn't know what was going on, but if she was trying to make a point, you'd make yours louder. You put your hand on Jaden's thigh and asked: "So hanging out, you two?"

Chase: "What is going on here? Josh would be pissed if he saw you that friendly with Jaden... and he'd kill you dude."
You: "Josh broke up with me. Something you'd have known if you answered my calls last night."
Charli: "Oh my God. Are you okay?"
Jaden: *taking your hand* "Her and I are figuring things out together, don't worry. Besides, it looks like you have plenty to figure out yourself."
*CHASE'S POV*
He didn't know what was going on between those two, but there is no way his best friend just started hooking up with Jaden the day after the love of her life breaks her heart. There has to be something he's missing. Charli pulled away from him and held her pillow tight to her chest as if she was going to be sick. His BFF shifted uncomfortably so Jaden started rubbing his thumb against the hand he was holding to comfort her. Charli looked like she was about to come out of her seat to tackle her roommate.
Charli: "So like you're together now? WTF?"
You: *pointing between Charli and Chase* "You have a lot of room to talk. What's this BS?"
Chase: "Charli, just tell her."
*END CHASE'S POV*
You: "Tell me what?"
Charli: "I can't... I can't do this."
Jaden looks as confused as you, but you're waiting for her to grow the nerve to tell you she's making a move on the best friend you told her to stay away from. You are ready to rock the room by telling Jaden and Chase at the same time that she's hiding being pregnant.
Chase: "Charli, you can't keep this a secret forever. You promised."
Charli: "Chase and I have been secretly dating. I'm pregnant. The baby is his and we are going to be together."
Jaden pulled away and leaned back in absolute shock trying to process all of that information. He looked like a rug had just been pulled out from under him. You jumped up and stormed out of the room before you said something to Chase that you would regret out of anger. Instead of giving you space, he followed you out.
