While Jaden and Josh caught up, Chase smiled at you from across the room and you excused yourself to go talk to him. You knew he'd be expecting an explanation for why you didn't tell him. To your surprise hugged you and kissed the top of your head in a way he'd been doing since you were both kids. He used to be shorter than you and could only hug you, but sometime around freshman year he shot up to over a foot taller than you.
Chase: "Looks like we both didn't listen to that "take it slow' advice."

You: *laughing softly* "I guess not."
Chase: "Everything's going to be okay. I really believe it. I just think we both need to believe in each other and know that even if it's not okay we have each other's back."
You squeezed him extra tight as Charli looked on with a hopeful smile. Charli approached slowly, not sure if she was interrupting with Noah and his date in tow: "Hey, Dixie... this is my roommate."
You reached your hand out in confusion how they knew each other when she was obviously there with Noah: "How do you two know each other?"
Dixie: "Charli is my sister. I came to help her move into the impregnator's apartment."
Charli: "Seriously, Dix?"
Dixie: *faking shock* "What? I'm being nice?"
Noah put his arm around her and led her away with a sweet smile. He was quiet, but always seemed to know the right thing to say and do at the right time. You looked at Charli and asked: "Her and Noah?"

Charli: "Yeah. She came in last night and hung out with dimples here after I went to bed and she's already talking about staying for a while."
You: "Well, when you know something's worth the chance you just take it, right?"
Charli: "Do you really believe that?"
You turned and took the glass Josh was trying to hand you as he called for everyone's attention: "I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate with us. I know this is not your typical college party or college life plan for that matter, but we are just so happy and grateful you're all here to be happy for us."
You raised your glass to add onto his speech: "While we are celebrating, I just wanted to share this amazing moment with my 2 best friends..."
You turned to face Chase who had his arms wrapped around Charli: "You guys taught me a very valuable lesson about not letting anything get in the way of the life you believe is meant for you and I wanted to say thank you... and congratulations!"

Chase looked up at you and smiled as you continued: "You are going to make amazing parents and even though I will miss living with my best friend, I can't imagine anyone replacing me better than my other best friend. I hope you two have a beautiful life and I hope we are always a part of it."
Josh squeezed your hand as everyone congratulated Charli and Chase. Charli walked up to you with tears in her eyes: "I love you!"
You hugged her tightly as you both cried. You were still scared Chase would end up getting hurt, but you finally realized that they deserved the chance to find happiness just like you had. You wanted that for him... and her... and all of the people you loved.
As she pulled away you couldn't help but notice Jaden still sitting holding Mads but watching Charli with sadness. You still wished they'd figured things out. It was so obvious she had really loved him but just was too scared to give it a real chance. You believed she had truly fallen for Chase and they were having this baby together, but you couldn't help but wonder if she'd have been just as happy with Jaden if she'd not been too scared of how she felt.
Josh pulled you close and held you with a smile. He kissed you as if he hadn't seen you in hours. You melted into his kiss and thought to yourself that there isn't anything you wouldn't do to have this feeling last forever.
*AUTHOR'S NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE END. It was originally supposed to be but I am planning to start a Christmas reunion set of chapters that catch up with everyone a few years down the road. Things shake up and so much has changed but even more shocks await our characters!!!
