You met Chase at a shopping center to finish up his list but it was taking longer to accomplish anything with the crowds and Zay having to stop every time he saw any display with Santa on it. You really had wanted to just stay home and fix how upset Josh seemed, but he was gone anyway. His sister was flying in today to spend Christmas with us. Her and Sam were still in grad school so they had spent all of summer break home in Canada and wanted to see Josh for Christmas.

Chase: “At least you get along with your sister in law, Charli’s sister hasn’t even been here 24 hours and she already has made it clear she still hates me.”

You: “If it’s any consolation pretty sure Josh isn’t too fond of me right now either.”

Chase: “Has he made you move into a hotel yet? Trust me it can’t be that bad.”

You: “No, of course not. He just got really mad that I was texting Jaden. I don’t know why it would be a big deal. We’re all friends.”

Chase: “I don’t blame him. I really hate that guy.”

You: “Oh stop. You got the girl didn’t you?”

Chase: “I had her anyway, but good news for him, I guess because she seems intent on divorcing me.”

You: “You know Jaden isn’t to blame for your marriage falling apart.”

Chase: “She actually listens to his music too which I swear she does just to aggravate me.”

You rolled your eyes and couldn’t help but laugh. He couldn’t possibly be jealous of a guy that Charli never even dated from years ago.

Chase: “I’m just glad he’s been touring the last 4 years so I don’t have to worry about him anytime soon.”

You: “Actually… he’s coming home for our Christmas party. That’s one of the reasons I was texting him.”

Chase: “Are you kidding me? So all this talk of wanting Charli and I to work things out and you go and invite the guy she hooked up with before me to spend the holiday with us all?”

He stood up letting his chair fall backwards from the force and yelled out:
“Zay, let’s go!”

You: “Chase- Stop.”

Chase: “Isaiah, NOW!”
