You: "It must be something about boys in that band, I swear."

Charli: "Sorry, I know Jaden hurt you a lot. I was totally talking you up to him but that's over now because I am never talking to Nick again."

Before you could respond, her phone rang and you both stared at the screen as Nick's name flashed across the screen.

You: "Are you going to talk to him?"

Charli: *freaking out*
"I don't know. Maybe?"

You hug her and nod in approval because you know she has a lot of emotions she needs to sort out with Nick regardless of what their relationship status was or is.

You stepped out into the hallway and sat down on the ground and decided to send Josh a text. Instead of answering he comes out and sits next to you:
"Funny meeting you out here."

You: "Very cute."

Josh: *winking*
"I try"

You can't help but melt against him as you set your phone down and lean on him laughing. He asks if she's ok and you tell him:
"Just boy trouble. He called though so I'm sitting out here so she can talk to him."

Josh: *laughing*
"Boys suck, am I right?"

You: *laughing with him*
"Yeah especially this boy. He's actually friends with the guy that we don't talk about from a few months ago."

Josh: "Do you maybe want to talk about it?"

You: "It's just a dumb boy. I thought he liked me and then never heard from him again until I ran into him recently and he was all over the girl he told me was nothing."

Josh: "I hate that guys do that crap. Gives us all a bad name. My roommate is exactly like that. He is literally juggling 3 girls right now. I'm all for casual if you both want it, but me personally? Not interested."

He is looking for something real... Did you hear him right? You didn't know if you should trust him but everything in you wanted to. You fell backwards as Charli opened the door behind you:
"Sorry, I didn't mean for you to have to sit out here, but I'm done."

You: "How'd it go."

Charli: "I said what I had to say and I never want to talk to him again."

Josh: "Good for you!"

You: "We should have a movie night to celebrate."

Charli: "Celebrate what?"

You: "Both of us being done letting toxic f-boys keep us from something that's good for us."
