Althea POV
I GRABBED Leigh's hand, noticing it was trembling. I gave her a reassuring smile, which she returned.
"I'm not here, Dianna, to start a fight with you."
"So why are you here? For Blake?"
"What if I am... he's the reason I came here."
She crossed her arms and let out a sarcastic laugh. "And what did you think? That I would agree? No way!"
I immediately became alarmed when she suddenly shouted, which irritated me. Didn't she feel ashamed with her daughter present?
"Lower your voice. Youre daughter is here."
She paused momentarily, slowly turning her head to look at the child with her eyes before glaring at me again with a smirk on her lips.
"I don't care."
I furrowed my brow. Didn't she have any shame in front of Leigh? She's such a bitch! I was about to speak when all the household staff bowed their heads.
"Daddyyy!"
I turned towards the staircase as Leigh suddenly ran that way. I saw Blake descending, his usual emotionless expression on his face. Our eyes met. The anger was still evident on his features. This must be why Kayzer punched him. He deserved it.
Dianna quickly approached him, planting a kiss on his lips. I felt uncomfortable as he continued staring at me.
"Daddy... Tita Ganda is here. She wants to talk to you," Leigh said with a smile on her face. Blake glanced at her, smiling in return.
His cold demeanor changed. I smiled inwardly. I knew he loved Leigh. Even if he hid his true emotions for his daughter, he was still her father.
I wondered, what if we hadn't separated? Maybe we would be like this. But sometimes I thought, would he accept Blaze?
"Tita Ganda is here... for me?"
"Yes, Dad. She wants to talk to you. Right, Tita Ganda?"
I almost gasped as they both turned to look at me. I quickly smiled and nodded.
"I need to talk to you, Blake."
He stared at me intensely, and I matched his gaze. I needed to face him for our son. I would do anything for the sake of our child.
"But we need to eat first—"
"No! I need to talk to you as soon as possible, Blake," I cut him off.
Dianna immediately snapped, "Is that how desperate you are to talk to my husband?"
I firmly closed my eyes to avoid shouting at her. Leigh was here... I didn't want to insult them either.
I opened my eyes and looked at her, raising my eyebrow. "I need to talk to my husband" which I emphasized the word husband to her.
I saw her expression change in surprise. I smirked. Let's see who will win between us, Dianna. Do you want a fight? Then I'll give it to you. I turned my gaze to Blake, the corner of his lips slightly raised in a smirk, which I found annoying. I'm just fooling her, jerk!
"Blake, I need to talk to you... about Blaze. He is now in critical condition and he needs you."
