Althea POV
MATALIM kong tinitigan si Blake. He's crazy! Doesn't he understand that we're done? We can't go back to how we were. There's no Blake and Althea anymore.
"You're talking nonsense, Blake!" I shouted at him. He's full of it!
"Talking nonsense, huh?" he said, nodding. "Maybe you've forgotten that you're still my wife, Althea! You are my wife, and I am your husband!"
I shook my head as tears began to flow down my face. I didn't know why I was crying, but I remembered how I used to remind him that I was his wife. I was the one who inserted myself into his life. But now? He's the one pushing himself into mine. It's just ridiculous!
At the moment when I pressed myself against him, all he could say were five words.
"I'm only your husband on paper."
He was taken aback by my words. I wanted to throw it back at him—did he remember these words? The words he always threw at me.
"Althea..."
"I'm only your wife on paper, Blake. It's just a piece of shit paper!" I cried out, "Don't throw that marriage in my face because you're the one who abandoned it!"
How dare he say to my face that we are married? He was the first one not to care for our marriage. He was the first one not to act like my husband. And now he's making it seem like it's all on me.
"Turn the world upside down, you are still my wife!"
"Stop it already, Blake. Yes, I am your wife, but you are not my husband!"
I almost screamed when he suddenly kissed me—a kiss filled with desire and hunger that made me taste my own blood when he bit me.
I tried to push him away, but he only pulled me closer to him. I cried even more at what he did.
"Hmmm...."
I pushed him again, nearly punching his chest, but it seemed to have no effect on him. Damn you, Blake! Damn you!
He tried to pry open my mouth, so I pressed my lips tightly together. He attempted to roam his hands inside my blouse, but before I knew it, he was thrown back.
"You really suck, Blake!" I turned around when I heard that shout. It was Kayzer. "Haven't you thought about your child's situation? You prioritized your lust over everything else!"
I immediately hugged Kayzer as he tried to step closer to Blake.
"Don't, Kayzer. He doesn't need your strength. Just leave him alone!"
He held my cheeks and gently wiped away the tears streaming down my face. I hated this feeling. Seeing Kayzer in pain... it hurt me.
"Are you okay?" he asked out of nowhere. Why was he asking if I'm okay? Shouldn't I be the one asking if he's alright?
I didn't answer, I just hugged him tightly—a hug that signified I'm here for him—a hug that felt like it could erase the pain inflicted upon me.
I wrapped both arms around his neck when he suddenly lifted me up. He took big strides away from the expansive garden of the Zaldivar.
He held me tightly to ensure I wouldn't fall. Even though he struggled, he managed to open the car door and gently set me down inside. He even buckled my seatbelt for me as I watched him turn around and start the engine.
The car drove for several minutes in silence, neither of us spoke. You couldn't say we were awkward because we both seemed lost in deep thoughts.
"Just stay away from him, Althea."
I immediately looked at him upon hearing those words. I felt strange hearing his cold voice swallow me whole.
"But... what about Blaze?" I stammered in fear at his aura.
He kept his serious gaze on the road while clenching his jaw and gripping the steering wheel tightly.
"I'll take care of him. Just stay away from him, Althea."
"But..."
"No buts, Althea!"
I fell silent when he suddenly shouted. I didn't argue anymore. I knew he was angry at Blake, and I didn't know if he was angry with me too. I had nothing to throw back at him because I'm the reason for his anger.
By the time we got home, not a single word had passed between us. He quickly got out of the car without waiting for me to step down.
I sighed heavily and closed my eyes for a moment. Say sorry first, Althea, this is your fault too. I unbuckled my seatbelt and immediately followed him into the room. I wanted to apologize, I wanted to talk to him.
I didn't knock, instead, I opened the door right away. I saw him sitting on the bed with his palms covering his face. He lifted his gaze as soon as he sensed my presence.
I leaned against the door as he took slow steps towards me. His eyes were cold as ice.
"Kayzer!"
I squealed when he suddenly grabbed my waist with his right hand while his left hand leaned against the doorframe.
"Which part did he touch you?"
I frowned upon hearing his question, I didn't understand what he meant.
"Huh?"
"Damn it, Althea! Which part did that bastard touch you!?"
What is he talking about? I'm completely lost.
"I caught the two of you kissing twice, it's killing me, hon," his voice softened as he looked deeply into my eyes and then down to my lips. My lips parted as he caressed them with his fingertip.
"I am the only one allowed to kiss these lips—to lick them—to sip from them. I'm the one who owns this, Althea! But that bastard..." He paused and looked directly into my eyes, "...how dare he kiss you!"
"Kayzer...."
"Then tell me which part of you he touched so that I can disinfect it with my tongue."
