Kayzer POV
WE are here in the park, enjoying some family bonding time. I'm holding Blaze's hand, making sure he doesn't wander off because his mother can be quite protective.
Speaking of his mother, where is she? I looked over my shoulder, but there was no sign of her. I started to feel anxious. Back in Paris, I had this strange feeling whenever we went out—like someone was following us. So, I investigated, and my suspicions were confirmed. But I still didn't know who it was or what their intentions were. I hadn't told Althea about this, I just mentioned work as the reason we returned to the Philippines.
That's why we returned to the Philippines. I worried about what might happen to my wife and child. Yes, my wife and child—I'm happy they came into my life. But sometimes, I can't quite believe the day has come when I get to be with her. I've been in love with her since elementary school; it was love at first sight. Her kindness, her beauty, and especially her captivating ocean-blue eyes—they almost hypnotize you. Even when we got to college, I couldn't confess my feelings to her, and that's when she met Blake, her ex-husband.
"Where is she?" I thought to myself, growing more worried. I finally breathed a sigh of relief when I spotted her. I was about to approach her when I noticed a little girl beside her.
Blaze ran up to her. "Mommy, who is she?" he asked, curious.
"Hmm... baby, this is Leigh, and Leigh, this is Blaze, my son," Althea introduced them.
"Hi!" Blaze said cheerfully, extending his hand, which Leigh happily accepted.
"Hello! I'm Leigh. Pleasure to meet you!" she replied.
"So... friends?" they exchanged smiles.
"Come on, let's play!" Blaze pulled Leigh's hand, and we let them go off to play.
"Hon, ang cute nila, noh?" Althea said, smiling as she watched the kids.
"Hon, where did you find her?" I asked, turning to her.
"I heard a girl crying and followed the sound until I found her," Althea explained.
"They might think we're kidnappers!" I joked, and she pouted at me. I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. "Don't pout like that, you might make me want to kiss you!"
She frowned at me, but I found it adorable.
"Come on, let's just keep her for a while. They look so cute together," she said, glancing at the kids.
I chuckled and hugged her. "Let's just have a girl of our own—OW!"
"You think I'll only hit you on the back of your head?" she retorted, her tone playful. "You better say please."
"Okay, okay," I conceded.
"Really?"
"Yes, on one condition... you have to kiss me first," I said, puckering up. "I'll let you if you kiss me—Ouch!" I yelped as he gave me a playful punch. "You're not stopping. Ouch! Now I'm really sure you're a sadist.".
Then she shouted "KAYZER AKSUM!"
Uh-oh, I thought.
We were caught up in our playful banter when we suddenly stopped running, panting from the excitement. I felt so happy to be with them. Even though I wasn't Blaze's biological father, I felt a deep connection with him. I would do anything to keep them in my life, I loved both of them.
Later, we decided to grab a bite to eat. I couldn't help but steal glances at Althea. I was so grateful she came into my life. We looked like a complete family. After our meal, Althea said she would go buy ice cream for the kids, as she had promised.
While I was watching the kids, Leigh suddenly screamed, and I panicked.
"Daddddddddddy!" she shouted and run to the man, I couldn't see him because he was turned away, hugging the child.
"Where have you been? I've been worried about you." He asked Leigh
"Don't worry, Daddy. I'm safe. Tita Ganda found me," she said with a smile. Tita Ganda? She must be referring to Thea.
"Tita Ganda?" I asked, confused.
"Yup... Tito Zer is my daddy," she said, and slowly, her dad turned to look at me.
My eyes widened in shock. Is he Leigh's father?
"Cousin—" we both said in unison.
