Althea POV
I WAS the one who bought the necessary medicines for Blaze. As soon as I stepped out of the hospital, I was greeted by the smoke from the vehicles and the noisy crowd.
The pharmacy isn't too far from the hospital. You just have to cross the street, and you'll see it.
Traffic was heavy in the city. I couldn't help but wrinkle my nose at the smell of smoke coming from the exhaust pipes of the cars. I looked left and right before walking towards the middle to cross to the other side of the street.
"Here you go, Ma'am."
I smiled as I finally bought all of Blaze medicine. I had to hurry because Kayzer and Blake were there, they might end up fighting. I shook my head... they probably wouldn't fight since the kids were in front of them.
"Thank you," I said with a smile.
"You're welcome, Ma'am."
I immediately turned around with the medicines in hand. I glanced left and right... once I was sure there were no cars, I quickly stepped forward to cross.
But just as I took a few steps, a speeding car suddenly stopped right in front of me. My face showed surprise as three men dressed entirely in black stepped out. I immediately became alert as they approached me one by one.
"Hey! Le... let me go!" I couldn't help but scream as they suddenly dragged me into a black van. I did everything to break free from their grip, but no matter what I did, they were stronger.
"Let me go! Let me go!" I hit them with the medicines I was carrying. I heard them curse softly, so I hit harder, but one of them grabbed it and threw it away.
I screamed for help. My eyes scanned around... some people stopped walking to squeeze into the crowd. Many were looking at us, but not one person helped. I knew they were scared of the guns that the newcomers were carrying.
But I needed to escape because I couldn't fathom what they would do to me. My anxiety increased as they slowly made me get into the vehicle.
"What do you want from me? Let me go!"
"Shit! Can you lower your voice! Woman!"
"Lower my voice!? Are you dumb!? You're kidnapping me!"
"What should we do, boss? Should we silence her first?" My heart raced even more when I heard one of his companions say this.
Silence? Who am I? Fuck! What is this problem again!?
"Don't you remember what Boss said? There shouldn't be a single scratch on her or we might get caught."
"But she's so loud!"
"Just put her to sleep."
I immediately became alert as one approached slowly. When he got close to my face, he pulled out a white cloth from his shirt and a bottle of medicine. I didn't know what it was, but I knew it wasn't good for me.
"Don't come near me!"
But it seemed he didn't hear me as he continued to approach. I did everything, I kicked him and moved around just to avoid him getting closer.
"I said don't come ne___"
I couldn't finish what I was saying when he suddenly covered my mouth with the white cloth he was holding. I smelled a dizzying scent from a drug that made my eyelids heavy. I continued to fight back until darkness slowly consumed me.
Kayzer POV
I IMMEDIATELY grabbed Blake by the collar out of anger. Althea had been missing for several hours. She was all that was on my mind, she was the only one who could deal with Althea because of his desperation to reclaim her.
"Where did you take Althea!? Huh!"
I wanted to strangle him if not for needing something from him. I was extremely worried about Althea. When I found out she had been kidnapped, it felt like my soul left my body in fear.
What if something bad happens to her? What can I do? It felt like I was going insane with worry!
My anger intensified as he just stared at me as if he didn't care at all. I was holding back my rage, afraid that if I didn't control myself, I'd punch him!
"Kayzer, let him go for now... we don't know who else might have kidnapped Althea," Althea's dad intervened.
I didn't listen to him. We were at the precinct. I've been worried since Althea hadn't returned because the pharmacy is nearby. After waiting for several hours, my concern grew when she took over two hours without coming back, that's when I started to panic.
Then finding out she had been kidnapped! I couldn't forgive myself if something bad happened to her because I promised her that I'd protect her and Blaze... but now there was nothing I could do.
"I know you're the one who kidnapped Althea! So give her back to me!" My grip tightened on his collar, ensuring that I'd really choke him if necessary. But he easily removed my hand, which made me step back.
"Are you pathetic, Zer? How could I kidnap Althea when I'm here with you in Blaze's room? Are you stupid? I'm worried too about where Althea is!"
I punched him. "The moment I find out Althea is with you and something bad happens to her... I'll have no hesitation in killing you."
"I'm not afraid because I know I'm not the one who kidnapped my beloved woman... but if it were me, I'm sure I'd be gone by now," he said seriously while wiping blood from his lip and suddenly grinning, which only fueled my anger further. "If it were me... I'd make sure you'd never get her back and you'd never see her again. Because I'll hide her from you, Zer. Because Althea is mine. You're just a mistress! I'm her husband!"
