Althea POV

I TIGHTLY held Kayzer hand while bowing my head. We were outside Blaze room.

"Why didn't you tell us?"

I bowed my head even more when I heard Daddy words. I bit my lip. They found out that Blaze is Blake's child, and that's what they were angry about.

"Althea!"

"D... Dad."

I didn't know what to say. I had no reason to give. All I could tell them was that I wanted no one to know that Blaze is Blake child, except for Kayzer.

"We wouldn't be angry, dear. We wouldn't be angry if you told us the truth." Mommy suddenly said, standing in front of us with Kayzer.

"I'm sorry, Mom."

I lifted my gaze when Mommy suddenly held my hand that was holding Kayzer.

"Dear, we are your parents. We are your family... we wish you had told us the truth. Because we should be the first ones you confide in, we should be the first ones you lean on. Because you are our daughter, Althea."

"I'm sorry, Mom. Dad" I said, tears threatening to spill.

"We understand you better than anyone else. But you lied to us, you are my daughter, Althea."

I softly sobbed. "Mom, I didn't really mean to lie."

It hurt to think that I was lying to my own parents. That every day they were hearing words of deceit from me. But there was nothing I could do, even if I didn't want to... my own self was wanting it.

"I'm sorry."

"We are disappointed in you, Althea." Daddy turned to Kayzer. "And you too, Kayzer. You're also enabling Thea."

"I'm sorry, Da—"

"If Blake hadn't donated blood today, we wouldn't have known the truth! How long were you going to keep this from us?"

No words came from me or Kayzer because the truth is, it wasn't really in our plans—at least mine—to tell Mommy and Daddy the truth. As long as I hid the truth, no one really needed to know. Until Mommy found out that Blake blood matched Blaze.

"I am so very disappointed in the two of you!" I bit my lip when I heard Daddy quiet shout before he left.

"Please forgive your dad, Althea. Even I am angry with you but nothing can change what has happened now. But please don't do this again. I'll go after your dad first."

I sighed before turning to look at Kayzer who was also looking at me. I felt sorry for him, sorry because he got dragged into my problems.

"You got dragged in again, Kayzer." I sighed.

He smiled bitterly at me and immediately hugged me. "Hayy... Althea. It's even happier to think that I'm part of your problems because it reflects on me being with you."

A tear escaped down my cheek because of what he said. I was happy because I knew him. Happy because I had Kayzer in my life.

I hugged him tightly. I buried myself in his chest and quietly cried in his arms. I felt him respond to the hug around me. I sighed deeply. Why is my life so miserable? Because of my problems, someone else got involved.

We both turned when the door to Blaze room suddenly opened and Blake stepped out.

Kayzer immediately pulled me closer to him. I looked at him questioningly but his gaze was only on Blake.

"Blaze is looking for both of you inside." he said coldly.

Blake looked at Kayzer before turning his gaze back to me. Slowly his gaze traveled down to the arm wrapped around me and he clenched his jaw.

"Hon, go first. Go check on Blaze. he needs you."

I frowned at what he said. "B... but how about you?"

"I need to talk with Blake first."

I looked at Blake who was staring at me so I looked away and turned back to Kayzer. I wanted to protest against what he said because I knew they would fight, but there was nothing I could do but follow. I gave him a quick kiss before going inside.

Blaze smiling face greeted me along with Leigh. They were happily chatting away like it was just Blaze and Blace in front of me.

"Baby!"

I immediately ran towards Blaze and hugged him tightly. Tears flowed immediately. I couldn't believe such problems would come into my life. But even if they threw a mountain of problems at me, I'd accept it as long as no important lives were lost.

"M...om! I c...can't breathe!"

I quickly let go when I heard his soft whimpering sound. I looked at his face. It hurt to see him with tubes and machines beside him, but I was happy just seeing that he was okay now.

"Hushh... Mom, don't cry."

"I'm happy baby that you're okay now."

"Mom, don't call me baby. I'm not a baby anymore."

I heard Leigh giggle softly. I smiled because he looked cute.

"Leigh, come here."

"Ho?"

I immediately picked her up which made her eyes widen in surprise so I laughed softly as I set her down on my lap. Just seeing their smiles... made everything okay for me.

Someone's POV

"Do you understand what I'm saying!?"

"Yes ma'am!"

"You need to kill that bitch! She ruined everything—our family and my relationship with Blake! Just kill her and I'll give you everything you want."

"Asap, Ma'am. I'm leaving now to plan it out."

I didn't look back, all I heard was the door opening and closing as a sign of their departure.

I smirked into the void. Hopefully, you won't come back, Althea. Hopefully, you won't show up again. Nothing bad would happen to you then.

"You ruin me and Blake, then I want to kill your life, my greatest enemy, Althea. Blake is mine—only mine."
