Types of Yanderes

A/N: WHOO BOY, taking a turn for the darker here! I hope you enjoy! Since it's a bit tougher to put everyone in just one box, several characters will have more than one type associated with them.

(Just a general disclaimer, I obviously don't condone stalking or obsessive 'love', especially when it's taken to the extreme. Yandere characters are interesting to perceive; please don't add real life examples into the mix!)

Tanjiro:

Completely Harmless at first, but slowly begins to Restrain you.

All in the name of keeping you safe, of course! Much like his ancestor, he's only happy when he sees you happy; you're one of the highlights of his life, and he wants you to know that even if you happen to not choose him. If you do fall in love with him, he's over the moon, and dotes on you as much as you want.

But the moment you get targeted by demons, his world shatters a little. He knows full well that you live in a dangerous world, and all he wants to do is protect you from it. It starts off small; moving in together turns into you quitting your job as a Slayer to completely work at home. It's easy to brush off these decisions in the beginning as him being rightfully overprotective, but by the time you begin to ask questions, it's too late to get out.

Nezuko:

She gets the Wrong Idea and becomes Dependent on you.

Aside from her big brother, you're the person she loves the most. On the day you both met, you were a vendor at a festival. She hadn't had enough money to buy something for her brother, and you felt bad enough for her that you have her the item (as well as a compensation necklace for her) for free -- and to her, it was a sign. Suddenly she began to crave your presence, even after you formally met each other. When she's not in the box, she's near you. She Stalks you when she visits your hometown, needing to be reassured that you're okay. To Nezuko, you're everything, and she'd do anything to have your heart.

Zenitsu:

Worshipper, hands down.

This boy simps for you hardcore. Crosses over into Delusional territory sometimes, but he has enough self-awareness to realize that not everything you do means that you return his feelings. For the most part, he's content to dote on you like a queen whether you like it or not. He's very clingy and stubbornly demands all of your attention be on him, otherwise he'll sulk and cry. He'd never hurt you, and as much as he wants to steal you away, he can be easily talked out of it.

Inosuke:

A totally Obsessive Stalker.

Inosuke simply can't live without knowing exactly what you're doing. He clings to you and won't let go as soon as you give him affection. Perhaps it's a byproduct of his childhood, or perhaps it's because he finds you fascinating; either way, he starts to stalk you and won't rest until he knows more about you than you do yourself. All those times that he finds you and demands you fight him? It's him flirting. He wants to test your strength so that he knows how far he can go before you really get hurt. To him, you aren't your own person, but his soulmate, even if you don't exactly know it yet. Humans and demons be damned if they try to take you away.
