Making Them Human

A/N: The request was for an instance where the demons are injected with something that temporarily turns them human again. I'm thinking maybe a blood art technique? Or perhaps a wisteria concoction of some kind. Either way, we're doing this.

Nezuko:

The transformation was painful, and it hurt to hear her screaming. Tanjiro had to restrain Zenitsu from bursting into the room to try and comfort her - and at last, after what seemed like hours, her screams died down and she fell facedown on the ground, messy hair falling around her in a twilight halo.

It took her a few minutes to wake up, but when she did, she groaned, soft pink eyes blinking as she took in the forest. When she opened her mouth, her fangs were gone - and the group stifled sharp gasps of shock when she spoke. "Brother? What..."

"Nezuko!" Tanjiro wept, rushing to her side. He hugged her tight, the girl hugging back in confusion.

Akaza:

Your boyfriend came home one night, obviously struggling with pain and practically unable to walk. You helped him inside, and he immediately fainted, feverish and clammy. It took you an entire night of nursing him for him to open his eyes - and you screamed when you walked back into the room to see a markedly human Akaza staring at his hands in confusion. His marks were gone, his skin a healthy tan, and his eyes... his eyes were the most beautiful shade of frosty-blue.

"I'm... human?" He whispered, dumbfounded. "No... no, this... can't be. How can this be?"

Douma:

It's hard to keep from making noise as the serum works its way through his body - and he's fainted on his platform when you come to visit, and instead of cheer, you're horrified as you rush to help him up. It's a good thing his followers are nowhere near as you work to lay him down, putting a damp cloth over his burning forehead.

After what seems like hours, he opens his eyes - and instantly he knows something is wrong. You do too, as you look him over and realize something has changed. Then he opens his mouth, and you know - his fangs are gone, for one thing, not mentioning the marks in his eyes are gone and there's a breathier lilt to his voice as he begins, "What happened to me? Am I... human again?"

He doesn't quite know how to react, save for the deep disappointment that blooms on his face as he inspects himself. You don't know how to react either, having never thought this could happen to someone as powerful as Douma.

Kokushibo:

Pure anger rushes through him as he feels himself weakening - and oh, the pain burns like lava as it courses through every vein and every synapse. Kokushibo screams as the transformation takes hold, and you watch, mystified and horrified - as your boyfriend collapses, long hair hiding his face.

When he struggles to his knees, his skin is healthy, alive, and his extra eyes are gone. He stares at you, horrified, when he touches his cheeks and feels nothing there.

"K- Koku...?" You breathe, confused and scared.

"This isn't... supposed to happen...!" He hisses through grit teeth, reaching for his sword. "I'm supposed to be immortal... how did this happen? How could this happen?!"

Muzan:

"NO!"

The shout makes your skin crawl and your blood turns to ice in your veins. As you turn and look, you see Muzan writhing in his spot, blood bubbling up and dribbling down his chin past his snarling lips. Whatever Tamayo managed to inject him with, it seemed to be weakening him - and he was furious.

After a few minutes (breaking free, fighting to kill as many slayers as he could), he finally collapsed in a heap, coughing and hacking up blood. The once-mighty king was now a frail human again, at the complete mercy of the Hashira. You felt sorry for him - especially as his eyes frantically met yours in the seconds before someone managed to score the fatal blow.
