A/N: An interesting little continuation based off of some of the events of "If They Were Turned". Nobody is human in this, for obvious reasons. (This is more of a 'What If' detailing what would happen if they did eat you.)

TRIGGER WARNING: This chapter contains suicidal thoughts/committing suicide and references to consumption of human flesh. I obviously didn't go very deep into that topic because I don't want to squick anyone out too much. Still, please read at your own caution.

Tanjiro:

When he comes to and realizes what's just happened, despair hits him like a brick. He can't stop crying as he begs Giyuu to kill him and eliminate him as a threat. He begs the man to tell Urokodaki not to commit suicide because of what he's done. Neither Giyuu nor Nezuko can stop crying as he beheads the boy, and neither of them are ever quite the same afterwards. They become supports for each other in the wake of his death, both because Tanjiro would've wanted them to stick together, and because they were hardest hit by his loss.

Nezuko:

Tanjiro can't stop bawling as he beheads his sister. Zenitsu can never look at the boy the same way again, and the group quickly disbands and they go their own ways. Urokodaki takes his own life not long after, and Giyuu follows suit, leaving Tanjiro well and truly alone. A couple of the other hashira are sympathetic, but as a whole they leave him be, too occupied with their own loss and telling themselves that they really should've seen it coming.

Zenitsu:

He can never forgive himself for eating you. He vomits once he realizes what - or who - he's just eaten, and despite begging Tanjiro to behead him so he can die, the boy refuses. Zenitsu starves himself, not wanting to eat another person as long as he lives. It doesn't take long until, in a hungry haze, he hallucinates you calling to him from outside and he walks out into the sun, killing himself. The group feels his and your losses keenly, and things are never quite the same without your combined cheer to lighten the mood.

"I will take the suffering from you..."

Inosuke:

When he finally snapped out of his murderous rampage and realizes he's got shreds of your haori in his teeth, there's a second of denial before reality sets in and he realizes what he's just done. Inosuke roars, enraged with himself, and  runs away to hide in the mountains so he'll never have to face any of your friends and explain what he's done. At times he thinks about walking into the sun just so he can die, but he can never muster the courage to end his own life. He regrets eating you for the rest of his life.

Giyuu:

To his horror, he snaps out of his haze with something delicious in his mouth - and when he looks down at you, realization sets in as he takes in your corpse. Sickness hits him, and he vomits onto the grass, unable to look at your body for very long. Instead of let everyone find out what happened (and cause his master to die), he kills himself with his own sword. In his final moments, he pleads with the gods to let him see you again, so he can properly apologize and repent for his sin.

Kyojuro:

He's never tasted anything so delicious in his life - and it's only when the background noise of your screaming stops that he finally realizes what he's been doing. Kyojuro screams, begging for you to come back to life. Weeping over your body, he just can't accept what he's done and he lets the sunlight kill him rather than face his comrades, or your families.

Muichiro:

The boy screams when he realizes what he's just eaten - and scrambles away from you in blind panic, not wanting to even look at you lest the temptation of your corpse lead him to desecrate you more. Muichiro sobs, pleading your forgiveness. He's beside himself for a long time, and when the opportunity strikes, he takes it - and walks into the sun, letting himself burn to ash.

Shinobu:

There's a greater chance than not that the transformation never takes hold - but in the case it does, and in the case she eats you, she's so beside herself with grief and self-hatred that she takes her own sword and kills herself with the strongest dose of poison she can manage.

Gyomei:

He will never be able to forgive himself for killing you, and as dawn breaks, he stays in his spot, cradling your corpse close and sobbing. He can only hope he gets a chance to apologize to you in the afterlife, and that he can repent for his sins quickly.

Sanemi:

It's only natural that this happens, isn't it? That's what he muses to himself, at least, when he stares at your corpse, horrified, and realizes what he's just done. He's no better than his mother, and he deserves to die; that's what he firmly believes as he takes his own life with his own sword. He'd rather not live another second in this world if it meant living with his actions, no matter how much he doesn't want to leave Genya alone.

Akaza:

Akaza never forgives himself for eating you. He's never quite the same after your death; just a little more unhinged, just a little more reckless. Where he's praised for finally eating a woman, he feels nothing but despair. He truly liked you, and this is the price you paid for falling in love with a monster like him.

He never involves himself with another human again, seeing your face every time he begins longing. It makes him sick to his stomach, and he tries not to vomit whenever he remembers just how good you tasted.

Douma:

He liked you. Perhaps too much, as he comes to realize when he's licked his lips clean of your blood. He keeps your head as a souvenir, unable to part with the last piece of you he has. When your orphans realize what's happened, they're filled with rage - and the Hashira send their best to kill him, your oldest pupil, the new Ice Hashira, among the ranks.

Kokushibo:

He quietly mourns you as he eats you, finding that he enjoyed your company. Alas, it wasn't enough not to kill. Your haunting look of utter betrayal continues to haunt his memory, and while guilt gnaws at his heart, he tries his best to ignore it and continue serving Muzan.

Muzan:

Oh well, he muses as he licks the last of your blood from his fingertips. He does feel a twinge of regret for eating you, but he figures it was bound to happen eventually; everyone who falls in love with him either kills themselves or are eaten, and today you unfortunately fell victim to the latter. To your credit, he admits you were quite tasty.

Yoriichi:

The poor man weeps when he comes to and realizes he's killed you. First Uta, and now you? The shield around his heart fortifies, and he decides to repent for his sins by killing Muzan for good, and if he dies first by starvation, then so be it. He refuses to become a monster, and he refuses to end another human life.

He dies in battle against Michikatsu - now Kokushibo - and his older brother stares at him, dumbfounded, as he lets himself die, too consumed by grief and hunger to regenerate.
