Your Daughter Announces Her Pregnancy

A/N: Just as it says on the tin: your adult daughter, now married, tells you and your spouse about her pregnancy. For the demons, this will be tweaked a bit.

Tanjiro:

Tanjiro knows even before she knows - something's different about your darling daughter, and when he saves a pregnant woman from a demon attack it finally hits him. He doesn't know what to do about it, agonizing over whether or not to tell her or let her figure it out - but finally he blurts it out during a dinner with your daughter and her partner. Stunned (and possibly in denial), they decide to visit a doctor to confirm, coming back in a few days with the news that she is pregnant.

He's so over the moon about having a grandchild that he can't stop talking about it. While it annoys some of your friends, you find it funny how they'll all but avoid him when he goes into town because they know he's about to start gushing about his future grandchild. Who knew that your husband could stoke fear into civilians too?

Nezuko:

Nezuko startles you one day when she says, "(d/n) is having a baby." She's so serious that you actually contact your daughter, asking her if she's seen a doctor lately. She agrees to go get a checkup - and comes back, stunned, saying she's pregnant. Nezuko is incredibly smug about it, but she's overjoyed that your daughter is having a baby and quickly becomes very involved in the pregnancy. Feeling the baby kick and hearing the new little heartbeat become her favorite pastimes whenever your daughter and her partner visit.

Zenitsu:

Your husband nearly faints when your daughter excitedly tells you both that she's pregnant. He'd been suspecting it for a few days, when he realized he could hear something faint that he'd never noticed before - but her confirmation made him so happy he started bawling. He becomes a papa wolf, becoming fiercely protective of your daughter and warning her partner not to hurt her. They're so used to his antics by now that it doesn't phase them.

Inosuke:

In Inosuke's eyes, your daughter will always be his baby girl. So when she announces her pregnancy, he's simultaneously excited and dumbfounded - but he quickly comes around to the news, happy to have a grandchild. He becomes more protective of her, if he even could be, and her partner mostly hangs out around you whenever they come to visit since they know you'll be the calmer party to be around.

Giyuu:

He is so, so happy when your daughter announces her pregnancy, but he's scared too. Pregnancy is a vastly different beast to slay than the ones he slays on a daily basis, and he remembers very well how difficult some things became when you were pregnant. He often worries so much for her that you have to force him to take a break from missions just so he can relax.

Kyojuro:

Your husband is over the moon when your daughter announces that she's pregnant. While she agrees to take it easy and take a break from slaying, he offers for them to stay at your house in the final stages of the pregnancy just in case. He's so excited to be a grandfather that it's all he can talk about (and despite it annoying some of your colleagues, it's amusing to see them almost recoil when they see him, knowing what he's about to say).

Muichiro:

At first, you think he doesn't quite hear her. But then his eyes go wide, and his neck pops with how fast he turns to stare at your daughter. He's very happy for her and her partner, but he worries a lot - he knows you both raised her to protect herself, but he can't help but be a little extra protective while she's pregnant.

Shinobu:

When your daughter comes to the Estate one day and announces her pregnancy, the triplets squeal and hug on her, asking a million questions a minute, while you and your wife are thrilled. Shinobu takes it upon herself to become her personal obstetrician, explaining all the vitamins and medicines she would need to take as she progressed in the pregnancy, and it fills you with joy to see her so excited and happy.

Gyomei:

Your daughter is very close to her father - and he's overjoyed when she tells you both that she's pregnant. They cry together as she explains everything, how far along she is, and how excited they are for a baby.

Sanemi:

He's still so fiercely protective of your daughter that when she announces that she's pregnant, he tells her to come stay at your home until the baby is born. She laughs at first, but then you both realize he's serious. He's so anxious about her being attacked during the pregnancy that you have to beg Oyakata-sama to send him on more missions just so he'll have an outlet for that nervous energy.

Akaza:

Your daughter might as well still be a child in his eyes, despite being fully grown and married. When she announces that she's pregnant, he's taken-aback - and almost a little in denial. But as the pregnancy progresses, Akaza finally comes to terms with it, and he's overjoyed. He loves her - and his grandchild - so much that he will do anything to keep her safe. You actually have to beg him to either chill out or take out his frustration on nearby demons just so he'll finally relax and stop worrying so hard.

Douma:

When your daughter visits one day, he realizes something is off immediately. "You smell different," he muses with a smile. "Are you pregnant?"

The question catches you both off-guard - and it gets your daughter to actually confirm with a doctor. When she reveals that she is pregnant, he's cheerfully smug about knowing first. "Pregnant women smell so delectable," he sighs. You know he won't dare eat your daughter, but the comment is kind of off-putting.

Kokushibo:

"Father, I'm pregnant," your daughter says, and your husband nearly drops the sword he's polishing as he processes exactly what she just said. He still believes her to be a child sometimes, and it's hard for him to accept that she's all grown up and married now. While sometimes he seems aloof and uncaring, you can see exactly how happy he is when he feels the baby kick for the first time, his face softening with pride.

Muzan:

Your husband almost seems like he doesn't care - but he's extra eagle-eyed when your daughter tells you both that she's pregnant. Whatever flaws her partner had before become extra apparent to your husband, and if a demon even so much as looks at her twice, he's threatening to kill them for their insolence.

Yoriichi:

Your husband cries when your daughter announces that she's pregnant. She'll always be his little girl, and even now they're extraordinarily close. He's so happy - yet so scared. The last thing he wants is to lose her, and he becomes almost concerningly superstitious as the pregnancy progresses. He says extra prayers for her and if he's a little extra rough with the demons you come across, you'll never say a word about it.
