Chapter 94

ShyAnne's POV

*One Month Later*

I've made it a month on my own and it feels good. I've got a nice little routine going and I'm comfortable with where I'm at. The hardest part is keeping them entertained while I go grocery shopping so I can actually go shopping without having to leave because someone is having a fit. 

Alice has been over to visit a few times just so I can have some company. Sure, I talk to Andy on the phone or on video chat every day, but I miss the face to face contact. Also, Lennon really likes the babies. I hope they become good friends when they get to be school age since they'll only be a grade apart.

I was sitting on the couch watching TV when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked and saw Eliza was gripping onto the top of the play pen, making little grunts as she tried to pull herself to her feet.

"Oh my god." I said, looking at the time on my phone. Shit, Andy's at soundcheck right now. I quickly pulled up the camera on my phone and started recording her. She would get halfway to a standing position and then fall on her butt. That didn't stop her though, as she tried again and again, making a little 'oof' sound as she hit the ground. Elijah was just watching in awe, his mouth slightly open. She finally pulled herself to her feet and stood there for a moment, her knees wobbling.

"Good job!" I cheered and she looked at me. She smiled and giggled before letting herself drop to the ground. I turned off the video and sent it to Andy. An hour later, my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"I missed it!" Andy whined on the other end. "I'm missing everything!"

"Andy, it's okay."

"I hate being apart from you guys." He sighed. He sounded so upset.

"It's okay. When you get back, you'll be able to see them stand as much as you want. It's just part of the job Andy, it's okay. You're not going to be there for all the big moments and it's okay."

"But I don't want to miss the big moments."

"I know you don't want to, but you will, and it's okay. Eliza won't remember that you weren't there to watch her stand for the first time. They'll get used to your job as they get older, it's okay."

"I know, I'm just still adjusting. It's only my second tour since they've been born."

"I know, every tour will get easier, I promise." We sat and talked for a bit more before he had to go get ready. "I love you so much Andy and I'll make sure I capture every moment for you."

"I love you too ShyAnne." He said and hung up.
