Chapter 114

ShyAnne's POV

Two days later, we went back to my doctor to get the eggs implanted. I found myself, once again in the waiting room, holding Andy's hand.

"ShyAnne Biersack." A nurse called. I looked over at Andy and gave him a small smile.

"Good luck baby." He said, giving me a kiss. I nodded and stood up, following the nurse back. She led me into a room and gave me a gown to change into. I got changed and got onto the table. The same anesthesiologist from last time came in to set up my IV and administer a mild sedative. Before he gave me the medicine, my doctor walked in.

"Hello ShyAnne, are you ready?" She asked and I nodded. "Are you still sure about only implanting one egg today?" She asked. At one of my appointments, I'd made the decision to only have one egg implanted on my first round. Implanting multiple could run the risk of us having multiples, and I'm not looking to have another set of twins.

"Yes." I said.

"Alright. I'll go ahead and make you an appointment for two weeks from today to test if the procedure worked. I beg of you to not obsessively take pregnancy tests. Please just wait until your appointment, even if you are starting to experience symptoms. It'll only drive you crazier, especially if this first trial does not work."

"Understood." I nodded.

"Alright, go ahead and push the medicine." She told the anesthesiologist and he nodded, pushing the medicine through my IV. It took a few minutes before I felt it take effect. The procedure was over rather quickly and my IV was removed. They sent Andy in who helped me get dressed and I was taken out to the car in a wheelchair. God, I hope this works.
