ShyAnne's POV

*One Week Later*

"So the second test was negative." My doctor said.

"Oh." I said, sitting on the couch next to Andy. He placed his hand on my back and rubbed it in circles.

"Don't worry, this is very common with IVF. That's why it was so great that you got pregnant on the first round. I'll give you a bit to think and discuss with Andy, but the earliest you can make your appointment is a month from now. Again, I want to give your body time to run through it's cycle."

"I understand. Can I go ahead and make that appointment now?"

"Sure, if that's what you want. I'll transfer you to the nurse."

"Thank you." I said. While I was waiting, I looked over at Andy and he had a raised eyebrow. I held up a finger as I got connected to the nurse and made my appointment. I hung up and looked at Andy.

"Did you just do something without talking to me first?"

"The test was still negative and my doctor said we can try again in a month so I made the appointment." I shrugged.

"ShyAnne, I don't know if we should keep doing IVF."

"What do you mean?"

"We're dumping a bunch of money into something that isn't guaranteed."

"We can't give up after two trials."

"I'm just worried about your mental health. I don't want you to have to go through a bunch of negative tests, or worse, miscarriages. Why don't we just take a break? Maybe try going through a surrogate, another method, or even trying the normal way for a bit?"

"Andy, I want to try IVF again."

"This is something you really want?"

"More than anything."

"Okay, but if this fails again, I want to at least think about other possibilities."

"Deal." I smiled, leaning in and kissing his lips.
