"Ok see you later." Lexi happily waved Kathy goodbye.
"Hey em," Lexi called out.
"Uh hey." I replied. Lexi smiled at me as we made our way into the school. I however, couldn't stand the curiosity so I asked, "so uh what did you guys talk about?"
She looked at me confused, "just some school stuff... why?"
"Uh nothing. I'm just curious." I quickly looked away and continued walking. She and Kathy had grown closer over the month and I wasn't exactly crazy about it knowing that Kathy hated me. She was my only friend and I didn't want her to just suddenly dump me and be with Kathy. Because comparing Kathy and me, yeap she's the popular pretty girl with a bunch of friends while I'm just a loser who may be losing her only friend. I know I know I'm a little dramatic and stuff but I just tend to overthink.
"Bitch." Jay suddenly stopped me. Then he looked over at Lexi. "You can fuck off."
Lexi turned to look at me.
"J.. just go." I said worriedly not wanting to drag her into my mess. She quickly scurried off.
"So, our homework?" Cameron snatched my bag right off my back and poured everything out.
"Why did you do that." I exclaimed but bend over and started picking my stuff up. I then handed over their work which I stayed up almost everyday the whole week just to finish it. I didn't even get to finish my own work which later, spoilers, got me detention.
Ugh. My life sucks.
They all took their piece of work, then tore it up in front of my face. My widened eyes met their amused face.
"What, shocked?" Ryan said cockily. "We did it ourselves ok. So thanks for nothing." Jay and Cameron was just laughing their asses off at my furious face.
They were tearing up the work they forced me to do. My blood, sweat and tears all poured into it and even cost me my own work. All for nothing. All for freaking nothing. That was when I was ticked off. Out of anger, I pushed Jay. And I regretted it. Big time. It was suppose to be a harmless push that's probably gonna earn me a punch or something, but instead, there just had to be someone behind him.... holding a smoothie. So as he staggered backwards and bumped into the guy, he was covered in smoothie. Strawberry smoothie. (Facepalm)
I could hear gasping all over the hallway but no one dared to laugh. If it were me, people'd be laughing their face off.
"Shoot, I.. I'm so sorry. Jay I'm really sorry." I apologised over and over. Despite the fact he forced me to do their work then tore it up why should I even be sorry. But still, I was.
He slowly got up came towards me, "you should really watch out Robbins." His deadly eyes piercing straight through my soul.
I knew I'm screwed. He didn't kill me right on the spot. I know he's coming for me but I don't know when or where or how. That's the torture.
*the next day*
The moment I entered the school, everyone was staring, pointing at me and whispering to each other. I knew something was up. I tried ignoring everyone and went to my locker. As I did, what was happening became clear. Someone wrote the words 'mom killer' on the door of my locker. I froze and looked around and landed my eyes on some guy who was holding the same coloured marker as the words on my locker. He then shouted, "what you looking at. So what, I wrote on your locker. At least I didn't kill my mom." His bunch of friends laughed with him.
I swallowed my anger as well as sadness. Tears were about to burst out of my eyes. Just then Lexi approached me.
"I..it's not true is it?" She awkwardly asked while handing me a poster of my picture with the words 'she killed her mom' on it.
This explained why Jay went to school so early today. People really go out of their way just to make my life miserable.
"It's not true!" I exclaimed and snatched the paper and tore it up.
I then rushed to the roof. It was a place I kinda spend alone when I'm stress or just want to run away from people. When I was just about to get some alone time, Jay and his friends was already there. It was as if like they're waiting for me.
"Finally, we've been waiting for you." Cameron complained.
Well, I got that right.
"What the hell Jay!? You put those posters up didn't you! You spread those rumours. Why? Why do you just hate me so much? What on earth have I ever done to you?"
Jay's point of view-
Flashback*
"Emma, come. Here, I think you should have this. It belonged to Chloe. You should know you're as much of family to us as Chloe was." Mom said to Emma. I was curious so I took a closer look at what she gave Emma."I.. I can't have this." Emma replied.
I fucking hate it when she was being sweet. I don't know why I hate it. Maybe I think it's fake? It's so annoying.
Then I saw a really familiar keychain. It was something me and the brothers gave to Chloe. Anger immediately filled me. How can mom give this to Emma!? It was Chloe's! It's because of her everyone was slowly forgetting about Chloe. Why did she ever have to exist?
I went over and snatched the keychain out of my mom's hand. "SHE DOES NOT GET TO HAVE THIS! This was for Chloe, our family." Then I turned to Emma. "And you will never be our family!"
Back to present*
Emma's point of view-
"I just hate you because you are you. I just do. Your face disgust me. Everything you do is annoying. I've said this many times and I'll say it again. The world is a much better place without you. Kill. Yourself." Jay finished and shoved me in lockers and stormed off.I was left speechless. Maybe I really am the reason mom died. The rest of the day, my mind was only occupied by this. As school finally ended, I hopped onto Blake's car beside Jay. He shot me dirty looks the whole ride. I swallowed my pride and ignored him.
"Mom killer." Jay called me.
"Jay." Blake looked at him fiercely through the front mirror.
Jay rolled his eyes, "whatever."
Andrew's point of view-
I waited for Zara behind the school to surprise her knowing it was her birthday today. Her friends told me she always hanged out around here after school so I waited here early. As I hear her voice getting closer and closer, I jumped out the corner holding a Chanel bag that she really like to surprise her. I froze as I saw her cuddling and holding hands with Derek. He quickly took his hands off Zara and walked away."What the fuck Zara?" I snapped. "So Emma was telling the truth. You were cheating on me." I threw the gift on the floor and stormed off.
"No no no let me explain." She ran over and grabbed my hand.
I shook it off. "No, we, are done." I shouted.
"Come on its just a misunderstanding." She grabbed my hand again.
"No!" I shouted.
She paused and suddenly her face immediately changed from sad to bitchy. "Fine, whatever. I never really liked you anyways. You can't give me what I look for in a guy anyway. You're just some dumb rich boy to entertain me and pay for me and my actual boyfriend, Derek's expenses only." She flipped her hair and sashayed down the road.
Tears rushed into my eyes but I fought it off. I slowly walked back home with every single words repeating in my mind over and over again. "You're just some dumb rich boy." It really hurts. Just then Emma popped into my mind. With all those hurtful things we said to her all the time.....she probably felt like this too. I felt really guilty all of a sudden, I also misunderstood her she was telling the truth I was just too dumb to see that Zara was lying to my face.
