A day in a week later...
"Babe pleaseeeee." Zara pouted her lips and acted cute.

"Ugh fine, since you're so cute. How can I say no to you babe." Andrew gently patted her head but I know so much better what she's like and she is not one bit....cute. I mean sure, undeniably she is pretty and all, but her personality, is definitely not the cute and flirty type.

"Awww, guess I'll see you tonight." She waved Andrew goodbye. "You're the best."

She shot me a glare before going home, or so she says. She's probably meeting her other boyfriend Derek or who knows how many more she has.

"Wait you aren't coming to my first game?" Jay demanded.

Although they're always fighting or something they're actually quite close. And from what I know about them after these few months, despite what they do to me, Sean was the more matured one, duh; Blake was the playboy or fuckboy if you will; Alex's your typical bad boy; Andrew... he's actually the nicer one, so I feel so bad for him to have find a girl like Zara; Noah is just cool; and Jay..... he's a bully I guess.

"I have to help my girlfriend with something." Andrew ruffles Jay's hair. "I'm sorry?"

"Gosh, fine." Jay crossed his arms. "You owe me one."

"What about you Alex. You coming? Or are you also finding your little girlfriend." He glared at Alex.

"Woah, she's not my girlfriend. Yet. But I asked her as a date to your game. She likes this kind of 'family homey' occasions instead of those 'expensive romantic' dates. I really don't get her." Alex shook his head while still scrolling through his phone.

Seemed like Alex and Andrew both went for girls totally opposite their personality. Well, what can I say, opposites attract right?

We all went to Jay's first football game. On the night of Jay's game, I saw Jace. I was still mad at him but I figure I need to confront him about it. At least get an explanation about why he did it.

"Emma! I meant to talk to you for so long." He grabbed my hands. His face still had some noticeable scars. "Why aren't you talking to me for so long?"

"What do you mean why? You know what you did." I shook his hands off. "You betrayed me." Tears slowly welling up.

"What?" He genuinely looked confused. "What are you talking about?"

"You said you pretended to be my friend all along. You admitted it yourself!" I snapped. I couldn't take it suddenly.

His eyes widened with confusion, "wait, is it on a Monday?"

"Yea, few weeks back." I said as I started getting teary.

He face-palmed his face, "Oh my god. That day after I went for football practice, they cornered me. Jay, Cameron and some other guys. They beat me up like really badly so I was in the hospital for a week. I was wondering why didn't you come visit me but now I know. They snatched my phone, forced me to unlock it then probably texted you all those nonsense or whatever then they broke my phone so I wasn't able to contact you. And by the time I'm back at school, you weren't talking to me anymore."

"Jace, game's starting in a while." His friend shouted.

"Coming! Just a sec." he shouted back

Then he grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eye "Look, Emma, I trust you so much, I never believe what they tell me about you, but I need you to believe me as well ok?" He waved and ran off.

I wasn't able to focus through the whole game. Jay really did something like this? How can I be so stupid. I'm sure Jace is very hurt and confused about me not talking to him. Then I went to the washroom wanting to clear my head. While walking back to the benches, I was suddenly dragged to a corner.

"What are you even doing here. Isn't Ryan rejecting you enough? You still showing your face everywhere huh." Kathy looked at me with Jessica, Sherry and Evelyn crossing their arms beside her. Then she poured her orange soda on my head catching me of guard so I pushed her subconsciously.

"Did you just..." she scoffed, "push me?" She said dramatically.

I received a hard slap across my face. Then they all flipped their hair and sashayed off.

I went back to the game but tried to avoid dad, Rose and the others to not let them see me like this. It was half game time and Jace ran over to me.

"Woah, what happened?" He stared at my wet hair and clothes. "You know what I don't even wanna know." He chuckled a little. He took some paper towels and started to wipe the soda off and another hand wiping his sweat. He was standing very close to me and our eyes accidentally met. I quickly looked away feeling shy. I slowly returned my gaze on his face and he smiled, I smiled back.

"Uh," he broke the silence, "game's starting, I uh gotta go, talk to you soon ok?" He ruffles my hair and took off.

"Don't mess up my hair." I complained and he turned his head and laughed. "I'll give you my phone number." He winked in a weird way causing me to laugh out loud.

I guess the night wasn't that bad after all.
