Chapter 32- stay with me

"Robin how do you feel today?" Doctor parrot asked me as he took my vitals. "I feel fine, a little tired, but I'm fine." I replied. he scribbled down on his clipboard and chewed the inside of his lips.

"How has your depression been?" He questioned me.

"It's been very distant lately, almost as if it's not there, i still have my moments, but I'm doing great and i feel much better honestly" i replied shooting him a smile.

He dismissed me and checked the other patients.

Later that day i got called into joys office. A plastic bag was waiting for me along with some paperwork. "Robin conners your being discharged today" dr.parrot smiled as he handed me the bag. "Go pack your stuff and come back here so we can get these papers signed." I couldn't move i was stone. Am i hearing this correctly? I'm going home? Wherever home is at the moment. I felt a tear tickle my cheek and bring me to reality

"Thank you so much" i cried as he hugged me.

"I'm going home!" I yelled as i entered my pod to collect my things. I was stormed with congratulations, suffocated with hugs, and drowned by everyone's tears. All happy of course. "Is niall coming to pick you up?" Shayla asked me. "I'm not sure i don't know who's picking me up or what's going to happen but I'm being discharged and i couldn't be happier."

Before no time at all my things were packed and i was waiting in joys office, every minute felt like a year and every second a month. "How do you feel about going home?" Joy asked me. "I'm very nervous to be perfectly honest" i examined to her. "As to be expected, how do you think your going to be after you get out, emotionally?"

"I'm happy i am, but i really don't want to see my family, i don't honestly want to go back at all, i may have to face them sooner or later, but i know now i will be ready to do so." I took a breath as the door opened and my bag was picked up. "This way miss. Conners" i stood up slowly and turned to joy. "Be careful robin, be safe, don't end up in here again," she nodded her head and sent me off.

"Adolescent on the unit" he hollered. The older people gather in the doorways as always and stared me down. I walked through the cafeteria doors one last time. The lights were off and the room empty. It was so quiet. As much as i wanted to leave and be home, i would miss this place, i was the happiest I've been in a while, and it has been an amazing experience for me. I'm ready to leave.

I close my eyes and walk out the doors behind the guard and the sunlight hits my face, warming me inside and out. "It's been so long since I've felt the sun " i smiled as i soaked every ounce of it in. "Here is your bag this is as far as i go" he handed me my things and sent me a smile. "Please be careful," he said as he opened the door and let me out.

I was immediately faced with niall and my stepmother. Niall was halfway asleep and my stepmother was signing papers. I set my bag down and slowly crept over to him. He looked so peaceful and beautiful. I couldn't help myself. I let go and plopped on top of him, kissing every inch of his face and hugging him tightly. His head shot up and his arms suddenly wrapped around me, standing up. I wrapped my legs around him as he kissed me. "Oh god robin i missed you so much, you're here you're actually here " he smiled kissing me again and again. "Are you ok? Are you hungry? Tired? Thirsty? Anything?" He questioned me. "Niall I'm great I'm amazing actually, i just can't believe I'm out and in your arms right now," i cried into his neck.

I saw my stepmother walk out the door and disappear. I could care less, i have niall, and all my friends. Right now that's all that matters to me.

"Well I'm actually a little hungry," i laughed as he smiled and kissed my forehead. "Good lets eat yeah?" He smiled as he wrapped his arm around me and grabbed my bag. "I brought you some more clothes in case you wanted to change and stuff, and also your phone," he said as we got into the car. "I don't think you need it at all, honestly I think you look so beautiful right now, but i brought you some mascara in case you wanted it," he said as he fastened my seat belt. "I'm too tired to put it on right now i laughed as i shook my head. "Good because you don't need it baby, i love you," he said taking my hand.
