"Well.", he started off. "I honestly don't know."
She blinked twice.
"You don't know?"
"I don't know", Bakugo said with a lazy smile. "You're so clumsy but crazy strong at the same time. How does that work? It's ridiculous...but attractive."
She pouted her lip and puffed her cheeks.
"I'm not that clumsy.", she said. "How do you not know what you like about someone?"
"It just is what it is. I bet you couldn't describe how feel. Clearly."
"That's so not true!", she said defensively. "Only an idiot like you could not say anything.
"You know what moon face I have a hard time believing you could."
"I could do it better than you, ...b-blonde guy!"
"Then prove it!"
"Okay, w-well first of all, I like how you don't care what anyone else thinks. You've always been so one track minded, but that's gotten you everything done in order and on time. You never give up. You act like you don't care about people, but it always always shines through when the time matters, and that makes people feel safe. Like when you saved me from getting attacked from those robots on the trip, or when you told our class I wasn't frail. Don't worry about who told me. I like that you can bounce back from situations that most people can't, and I think you're so much braver than you think you are and I'm so jealous you can do that. I like that you respect me and don't think lower of me because I'm a girl or because my quirk isn't as applicable as others. I like how nice your eyes are when you're motivated, and when you smile when you're actually happy and..... and....."
She paused and slowly turned her head and focused her eyes that widened once she realized how much she'd said.
"B-Bakugo!!"
Bakugo had the biggest, slyest grin on his face with his head in his hand. His heart was exploding but she didn't have to know that. He had never been told the things that she was telling him and he was more than touched. He felt appreciated and loved from someone else besides his parents, who sometimes didn't even do that. Coming from the girl he also had feelings for, he was the happiest he'd ever been. On the inside, of course.
"Y-You tricked me!", she heaved floating in the air.
"How else was I supposed to know you how you really felt?", he said grabbing her hand to avoid going to far up. "You got pretty far without noticing what you were doing."
He pulled her close to his face until they could've bumped noses. "Seems pretty clumsy to me."
She blushed and looked away while deactivating her quirk.
"I can't believe I did that.", she said feeling dizzy. "I can't believe-honestly what is wrong with me."
Bakugo grabbed her waist and pulled her into a hug. Her breath hitched and she froze in his arms.
"Don't pass out on me now. You shouldn't use your quirk in the middle of drinking something."
He felt her slowly relax in his arms and he thumped her head on him.
"Shut up.", she mumbled burying her red face in his chest. "Now I am mad at you."
Bakugo rolled his eyes and sat her down.
"Do you want to know how I feel", Bakugo cooed.
Uraraka hugged her knees in the chair and shrugged her shoulders.
"What are you going to trick me into saying something else?"
"Listen I'm sorry for gaslighting. Swear I didn't mean it. I wanted to know how you felt, because you weren't saying anything. I would never try to embarrass you, okay?"
Uraraka's expression softened and she nodded her head. She put her legs down and crossed her arms on the table. "Yes tell me how you feel and when you started. It's only fair", she said sticking out her tongue.
Bakugo snickered and scooted up his chair.
"Well, I guess I've always kinda liked you, but didn't really act on it until recently. It was on and off. At first I just thought you were one of the people in our class I didn't think of as a complete idiot, first year. You were strong and I could tell you had so much potential. The first time we fought at the tournament, I believe. I didn't think less of girls, but you were the first to give me a hard time physically. During that time we fought those villains on the island, you were badass, too. Second year, I saw you date Deku and wondered how the nerd could get someone like you, how anyone could. Third year, I don't know. That's summer before school started I really had changed my attitude toward a lot of different things and started seeing you differently too."
Bakugo paused to looked at Ochaco swinging her feet with a smile to failed horribly to hide.
"Mhm hmm."
Bakugo rolled his eyes with a smile and kept going. "I noticed how pretty you were, always have been, but I didn't care about it back then. You cared about everyone, including me which never made any damn sense to me. I remember Kirishima telling me what you said when I was kidnapped by the L.O.V and I was surprised you even bothered to look at it from my perspective. Not even my parents did that. You saw through my ways with stupid Deku. Even though I was always snappy, you never really retaliated. You were always chill but kinda aggressive but still cute so it made up for it. You're kinda reckless and feisty but still sweet and hardworking. I guess all that balled up into, I want this girl more than anyone in the world and I want to be there for her, because she's unknowingly been there for me this whole time."
Ochaco stared at him in awe with tears that started to spring from her eyes.
"A-Anything else", Ochaco said with the most beautiful smile.
Bakugo scoffed. "There's no impressing you", he started than he smirked. "But since you asked, your boobs felt really nice under your shirt last night when you hugged me."
Ochaco's jaw dropped as she squeaked and tried to kick Bakugo from her chair.
"How could you say that?!", she said flustered.
"I mean hey it's the icing on the cake for me", he said giving a devilish grin.
Ochaco got up to hit him but due to their training, Bakugo knew what angle she was coming from and flipped her on top of his shoulders. Ochaco yelped and wrapped her arms around his neck carefully to avoid falling. (Not that it would matter 🙄).
"Whaddya know they feel pretty good on my head too.", he said snickering with a slight blush.
Ochaco quickly sat up straight on his shoulders and began karate chopping his head.
"You perv! How dare you!", she said between chops.
"You put them there!", he said laughing.
Bakugo somehow moved her from her neck and began to carry her bridal style just out of spite. Ochaco crossed her arms with a slight blush and looked away from him.
"Put me down you cretin", she broke giggling.
"Whatever you say, princess", Bakugo smirked.
Ochaco stuck her tongue out at him and fumbled back into her seat. She suddenly got very shy.
"Thank you Bakugo. For everything you said-you're so sweet. I never really think all that of myself."
"I find that hard to believe but okay", he said nonchalantly. "So now that that's out of the way, I can really tease you about how you like me."
"Oh please", she started putting her hands on her face. "Don't start."
Bakugo gave a genuine laugh that Uraraka saw through her fingers and felt her body temperature get warmer. Who knew the boy could have such an infectious laughter when he was just being himself.
"Anyways", she giggled. "I should tease you about being such a poet. Didn't think you had it in you to profess such affection."
"Oh shut up.", he said looking away and drinking his hot chocolate.
