"I know today was crazy, but did you hate it?", he asked quietly.
She didn't beat around the bush to figure out what he meant. She was tired of pretending she was oblivious to things.
"It was but, I also haven't done this much in a while. And... I've never ate ice cream on anyone's rooftop even though it's already cold outside.", she giggled.
Bakugo snorted and looked up at the sky.
"The point is-", she started and Bakugo looked over at her. "I liked being with you today and I hoped you liked being with me, too.."
She finished her ice cream because of her sudden rise in temperature.
"I enjoyed every part of today. Bruises and all.", he answered calmly. "I got to spend time with you, and that's all I really cared about anyway."
She turned to face him couldn't push down her smile even if she tried. She put her head on his shoulder and inhaled.
"I know that I've already told you how I felt...but it seemed so all over the place today. So...I like you and happy to be here with you or anywhere really. I don't want you to think otherwise."
Bakugo's heart flipped and his mind rebooted for about three seconds before he answered back.
"I like you, too."
She moved her head off his shoulder and looked at him. He looked at her and then her lips. He leaned in slightly and she did the same. They're were about a dime apart and she relaxed her forehead softly on his chin.
"I'm sorry..."
He then put his hand on her cheek and kissed her forehead. He didn't want to rush anything with her and scare her away. If anything he wanted this moment of them to last as long as possible. He locked eyes with her and her heart melted.
She then pursed her cheeks, mustered up all her courage and kissed him right on the lips. He at first didn't know what to do, since she had taken him off guard, but he just closed his eyes and kissed back. Wasn't anything "steamy" or "passionate". It wasn't awkward either, surprisingly. They just connected to each other like putting a puzzle together.
The kiss lasted about five seconds before they pulled away. They were both red in the face, and she put her head into his chest. They were so awkward and cute, but expected nothing more or less from their teenage selves.
He put his hand on her head and exhaled. He had really just kissed the girl he liked for so long, and it was everything he ever wanted. He didn't want to describe it like the over the top ways the movies and books made it out to be, but he felt it and so much more. Kissing her made his heart jump and his skin burn. They were the best and shortest five seconds of his life.
He wrapped his arms around her and put his head on hers. He felt her wrap his arms around him. He gave a small smile but suddenly felt very lightweight.
"Uraraka, I'm floating."
"I mean, I guess that's one way to describe it." she answered.
"No, yes , I mean your quirk.", he stammered.
"Oh!", she giggled. "S-Sorry!"
She tapped her fingers and he sat back down.
"You would've thought after seventeen years, I could control that.", she said twirling her hair.
Bakugo gave her another small kiss on the lips and she blinked.
"I don't mind.", he said standing up holding out his hand. "Let's go back inside. The cold will start to get to you."
