Bakugo's POV
He watched her face light up when he asked the question.
"Yeah, I'm excited. I feel like we all haven't ever hung out like this.", she gushed drinking her water. "Mina wanted me to wear one of her dresses even though I already have one. What are you gonna wear?"
"Probably just a regular suit. I looked up the place already. Ponytail has money.", he said. "Here I was thinking I'd be able to get off just wearing a good shirt and jeans."
Uraraka laughed at how done he looked which caused Bakugo to smile. They both had made eye contact and Bakugo seemed to hesitate to say something.
"Here you are!", the waitress brought their food over.
They quickly broke away from each other's eyesight and thanked the woman.
Slightly red in the faces, they started to dig into the food.
"This is so good, I was so hungry.", she said happily.
"Glad I don't have to hear your stomach anymore.", Bakugo said. "What are you doing until the end of the break?"
"I don't really know.", Uraraka said after talking a sip of her water. "I was kinda set on working the whole time but now I'm off for the whole break. I was going to chill out for Christmas tomorrow, maybe spend it with some of my friends. My birthday is two days after and I think I was just gonna relax for that too."
"I remember.", Bakugo said eating his rice.
"My birthday? How would you?", Uraraka said surprised.
He paused and realized how weird that probably sounded. He's known her birthday since first year, but she didn't need to know that. He came up with the most believable thing he could think of.
"You're the only person in class I know who's birthday is close to Christmas. Process of elimination. Plus all of Mina's posts."
"Ah, right. Of course.", she said with a small hint of disappointment.
There'd be no real reason for him to keep track of her birthday. She honestly felt giddy he remembered at all.
"Why do all girls do that anyway? Post a bunch of pictures of each other a week before their birthday. Why not just do it ON their birthday and get it over with?"
She did a small pft and covered her mouth at Bakugo's frustration.
"Well.", she said between giggles. "It's a way for us to appreciate each other. It's fun too. Finding a bunch of memories from the year from before and before. Kinda nostalgic."
Bakugo scoffed but rolled his eyes with a hint of a small smile.
Baguko and Uraraka finished eating in now comfortable silence.
"Check please!", Uraraka waved toward the woman politely.
Bakugo saw the woman coming and put her hand down softly. She got distracted when she looked at him in confusion and gave the woman his card.
"Heyy, come on don't do that.", she whined. "I said I was gonna pay."
"I never agreed to that.", Bakugo smirked.
Uraraka thought back and realized he didn't. She pouted slightly.
"You already gave me your scarf. I feel like I'm robbing you.", she chuckled.
"Can't let your pretty face freeze off.", he said nonchalantly. "No one wants to be sick on their birthday, anyway."
Uraraka rolled her eyes as they both started to walked toward the front of the diner, but she internally was freaking out.
