Bakugo looked back at her and then looked at his drink.
"I never thought you'd like me back."
"Why would you say that? You're likeable."
(Insert screeching hyena)
Bakugo looked her in the eyes and scoffed.
"Weren't you so pissed off at me like three days ago?"
"Just because I was angry didn't mean my feelings went up in the air! It would've been some pretty shallow feelings if it went away that easily."
Bakugo thought about it and nodded to himself.
"Fair enough. ", he answered.
"Weren't you just angry at me too? I'm happy, but I did say some nasty stuff. That could've turned off anyone."
"You should know me by now that I don't hang unto things that don't matter to me. You probably could've said anything besides an actual rejection and it wouldn't have changed my mind."
Uraraka blushed and put her arms around her stomach.
"Aw, I matter that much to you?"
Bakugo was about to respond when suddenly a huge explosion set off in the distance. Uraraka and Bakugo immediately stood up and looked for where it was coming from. They couldn't pin point exactly where it was from the beach, but they saw the smoke and looked at each other and nodded. Bakugo left 20$ on the table and they ran out the building back to his car.
"Hey, it wasn't me.", Bakugo snorted.
"You think everything's all right?", Uraraka said slightly worried. "Who's trying to crash the town on Christmas? Not even the L.O.V would do this today based on their track record. It's too predictable."
"Someone who doesn't care, I guess.", Bakugo said reversing back in his car.
Uraraka grabbed a smaller, more compact version of her helmet from her purse and set it on her head. Even though she had gotten better with her nausea, her semicircular canals always had to be protected. She always kept the gear on her in case of trouble. Hopefully nothing would be too bad to the point she needed her full costume.
Bakugo sped through the streets of Musutafu as another explosion went off.
"The hell is going on?", he mumbled. "Where's all the police?"
He was right. He saw some families, pedestrians and some couples running away from the danger that they were going into, but didn't hear sirens or see any emergency vehicles.
Bakugo looked at Uraraka, who peered outside of his car window. At first it was her nose, than her face, then almost her entire head.
"What the heck are you doing? Are you trying to take your head off- I'm almost going 80!"
"I see something!"
"Who is it? Have we fought them?", he yelled swerving around a car in the middle of the road.
"Bubbles?!"
Bakugo's face flattened into an annoyed grimace.
Why do I even like her?
"Uraraka. WHY is that important?"
She rolled down the top roof of his car to avoid sticking her head out the window. She pulled herself up to where her half her body was sticking out of the top. Bakugo continued driving and began to see the bubbles she saw. He wondered why the explosions were getting louder when all he could see were bubbles coming closer. All of a sudden one of the bubbles popped near a pedestrian and it created an explosive sound that sent the man into a building.
