TIMESKIP IT'S NIGHT
She pulled in by herself around 10pm. She dropped off the girls at their respective houses and decided it was time to go back to his place. Even though she thought she wasn't bothered by Tsu's words didn't bother her this morning, they had eaten away at her all day and she was now feeling quite self conscious.
I probably should be going home, she thought. Bakugo is fine now, and I can't just stay over just to stay over. Seems inappropriate to me. I want to but...
She closed the car door behind her and walked toward the door.
As soon as she was about to knock on his door, it flew open for her to see a seething Bakugo.
"Where have you BEEN? You know what time it is? I've been calling!", he seethed.
She gave him a wide eyed stare as she fumbled for her phone.
"There's-there's no way", she said searching in her bag. "I always have my ringer on..."
She found her phone to see 21 missed calls.
"You're out all day and never check your phone?"
"I'm sorry.", she said defensively. "My ringer wasn't on all day. My mistake."
"What were you doing all day for you to not check your phone?", he demanded.
"Listen, I'm safe and I'm here. Your car is safe. It's here. Why are you so mad?"
"I'm not-I'm not even mad, I'm just asking you a question."
"You already know what I did today! Are you trying to run it yourself?"
"I'm not trying to run you!", he said putting his hand on his forehead. "I'm just tryna figure out why the hell you were ignoring me!"
"I wasn't ignoring you!", she said her voice rising. "Like I said, I was out all day with the girls! My phone was IN MY BAG, and I didn't hear anything."
"For the ENTIRE DAY?"
"Yes!"
She looked at him and saw a tinge of pain in his eyes. She took a deep breath and put her fingers on her temples.
"Bakugo, why are upset right now. Be honest."
"Were you out with other guys? In my car?", he said flatly.
"Wow, if this is really what you think I'd be doing, then you shouldn't have let me take your car. NO I'm not out with guys, and even if I was, you can't tell me who I can and cannot go out with! We're not together.", she said looking at him in his eyes.
He hesitated and put his shaky hand on the wall.
"I knew you would say something like that.", he mumbled.
"What else do you want me to say? Lie and tell people I'm in a relationship when I'm not?"
"So you were talking to other guys?"
"NO, I WAS NOT.", she said with her eyes watering. "And if you have a big problem with that, then you should know how fix it! No one likes this, this unnecessary jealous mess!"
"I don't like when you're out all day with my car, and don't bother to call back once!"
"I said I was sorry! And how do I know you weren't here all day with someone else? Can I be upset?!"
"Guess it doesn't matter since we're not together!", he said throwing up his arms.
"Then stop being insecure and tell me what you want!", she yelled.
