Lumi's P.O.V.

To say I am shocked was a massive understatement.

I had gone straight to the toilet after I came out of Mariella's room. My hands were shaking and I can't stop them! What is going on in this cruel world?

I stayed in there for about ten minutes.

Then I came out to go to the other rooms and spend the rest of my afternoon reading to the little children.

On Wednesday Nate wasn't in school. Thrusday he was missing too.

Did something happen to his sister?

As Friday came around I hoped I would see him but of course he wasn't there.

Was his family in dept because of hospital bills and that's why he had to work?

Oh goodness.

After school I decided to visit the diner and see if he was there.

As I opened the door Elisabetta came running to me.

"Lumi my dear, how nice to see you again." She grinned like a little girl and offered me a seat at the counter.

Her good mood eased me. She surely wouldn't be so happy if something happened, right?

"It's so nice to see you too Elisabetta. Sorry for just disappearing last time." She laughed it off and told me that it was fine.

"Oh, and don't you call me Elisabetta! I'm Eli, for everyone." She scolded me and I nodded smiling.

"Eli, have you seen Nate in the last days?" Her eyes widened.
"Yes! He just finished work. If you are fast you can catch him on his way home."

And there it goes. Nate never denied us being together (how weird, I would have to think about that sometime later) but believe it or not, I didn't even know where he lived.

They had been so happy that he "brang" me to the diner but now it was time for the truth.

"Actually I don't know where he lives." I was waiting for a shocked reaction but there was none. Just a sigh.

"Nate is such a mindless boy sometimes.
It took us a year to get him to tell us where he lives. That he won't even tell his girlfriend. Ts, ts, ts."

Eli shook her head and then proceeded to tell me his adress.

"He has been down the last couple of days, I'm sure you can cheer him up."

My worry increased again.

She winked (that lady is on another level of confidence!) and pushed me out of the diner.

Confused I made my way to Nate's.

I arrived at a pretty rundown apartment building with at least 40 aprtments in it. Nate seemed to live on the very top and the building had 20 stories it seemed.

Seriously? Oh man, I haven't worked out in forever!

Sighing I rang the doorbell.

"Who is there?" Nate's annoyed voice startled me.

"Eh, it's me."

"I don't know any 'it's me's'."

"It's Lumi."

"I'm not stupid Lumi."

For real?

Men!

Then the front door opened.

I swear to god, he is something else.
