"How the hell do you know where I live?"

Was the first thing he said as I arrived at his doorstep panting and out of breath.

I even had to sit down on the cold floor in front of his apartment.

"E...Eli *deep breath* told...me."

He rolled his eyes and looked down at me.

"You know, this house has got an elevator as well, right?"

Bewildered I looked up at him. He really had to hold himself back, to not break out in laughter.

That was a good sign, don't you think?

"Come inside when you're back from the dead."

Nate then just went back into his apartment, letting me sit outside all alone.

"Wait!" I was a little creeped out by the dark hallway and scurried inside the apartment too.

As I had closed the door, a glass of water was held directly in front of my nose.

"Drink that." He told me. "And put your shoes off. I don't want to vaccuum after you leave."

I nodded and took the glass from him.

Did he live alone?

The place looked pretty cozy and small, there couldn't be more than two people living here.

It was a two bedroom with a small kitchen and bathroom. It couldn't be bigger than 45 square meters (484 square feet).

After I had put my shoes off, I followed him into what seemed to be his bedroom.

In there stood a couch, a bed, a wardrobe and a little table with flowers on top. "Sit down if you want to."

He mustered me.

"Ehm...so you haven't been to school the last days so I wanted to see if you're doing okay." He nodded.

"I'm as happy as ever." Was that meant sarcastic?

"Okay."

Then there was silence. Awkward silence.

"Do you live alone?" I looked up from my shaking hands and into his eyes.

He was still looking at me with an expression I couldn't read.

"Normally my sister lives with me."

"Oh."

"Lumi, why are you putting your nose into my business?"

At that I cringed.

"I don't know? Sorry for doing that." I replied with a high pitched voice.

Sighing he replied: "I don't mind. You know it is weird that someone actually seems to care about me other than my little sister.
So I apologize for being rude and all that sometimes. It is not meant for you personally.
I'm really glad you came here today and made the effort to get into contact with me." We both smiled at each other.

Well that was a change of attitude.

"I'm glad you feel that way. So...do you want to be friends?" He laughed at my bluntness and nodded.

"Yeah we can be friends. Hey, so can I get your phone number then?"

"Sure." We exchanged numbers and I stayed a little more to tell him about school stuff that he had to read about.

In one moment he had accidently brushed his hand over my arm and I got goosebumps. My heart beat faster and my breath hitched. Luckily Nate didn't notice.

What the heck is wrong with me?

On my way home I thought about that moment over and over again.

How would it be to hug him?

Or to fall asleep together?

"Stop that!" I whisper screamed at myself and put both of my hands against my head.

An old lady looked at me like she was creeped out and walk by fastly.

Soon I would really turn crazy.
