Lumi's P.O.V.

On the days where Nate was at school we would both eat lunch with Miss Miller now.

At first he was really awkward and weirded out to eat lunch in the secretary's office but he warmed up to the place and Miss Miller fast.

Miss Miller never judged him and was always nice so soon all three of us had great conversations.

I would visit the diner every once in a while (preferably to watch Nate working in his uniform, he really looked good in that(!)).

Eli and Marco still thought we were together and somehow I didn't want to tell them the truth. *Blush*

Oh, and my aunt and I sold my parents house.

It was a big step but I would never move back to Los Angeles.
Now I had a LOT of money in my bank account plus the inheritance I had split with my aunt because of her taking me in.

At least that was a save amount. I was thinking about buying a little house here in Salisbury. It wouldn't really affect the sum in total.

Today was Friday and Nate had been to school. He had asked me if I wanted to hang out after that and of course I said yes.

It was getting getting warmer and March would approach soon. We had known each other for four months now.

The sun was shining today aswell and I felt blessed.

"I want to show you my secret hiding spot." Nate grinned and looked at me with a weird expression. It was...heartwarming? Cozy?

Confusing.

That definitely.

"Okay." I smiled back and he drove there while we listened to our mixed playlist (Fix your heart | Spotify).

Yes, we were so close now we had a shared playlist.

It was a little crazy to think about but I had never been so happy!

It took about half an hour before we came to a little cliff surrounded by the woods. Under us the sea crashed against the rocks.

"This way." He gestured me to follow him.

The way was uneven so Nate carefully took my hand. Inside of me everything exploded and I started to panic.

Don't do anything stupid now!

We walked another five minutes until a little beach was in sight.

Nate opened up his backpack, that he had swung over his shoulders, and pulled out a blanket.

"Sit down Lumi." I smiled and did so.

Then I looked at all the things he had taken here.
There was bread, cheese, some marmalade, a looot of strawberries and other miscellaneous things that found a place on the blanket.

He sat down next to me and casually threw his arm around my waist.

For a moment I forgot to breathe. We had never been this close before. Carefully I laid my head on his shoulder and came closer so that our sides touched.

Nerve-racking.

"Do you want to eat something?" He asked quietly and I nodded, feeling a little awkward now.

Nate somehow managed to grab bread and marmalade without letting go of me and began to make me a sandwich.

As he was done he seriously wanted to feed me.

Now that was too much for my nerves. Chuckling nervously I took the bread from him and ate it myself.

Nate turned his head, went through his hair nervously and chuckled with me.

I felt kinda bad now for not letting him feed me but it would have been super awkward.

"Thank you for doing this. I feel appreciated." He turned his head immediately and smiled brightly.

"I hope you like it." I nodded and slid even closer. "It is really nice but I do feel a little cold." I began to laugh silently. "It is still winter."

Then he did something which I'll never forget.

Nate half lifted me up, that man is strong(!), placed me in front of him and slung both of his arms around my waist while laying his head down on my shoulder, so he was able to see how I reacted to him doing that.

I blushed furiously and looked at this wonderful human being in awe.

Next thing I know our lips met.
