Nate's P.O.V.

I had planned everything in advance. The picnic, the hug, and I was so hopeful she would return my feelings so I had imagined how it would be to kiss her that day.

She asked me every day after school if we could hang out so it wasn't hard to get her to come along with me.

As I drove us to my hiding spot, my hands were shaking the whole time. Would she accept me or would she dump my a*s? I hated not to know.

After about half an hour we were at the cliffs and my palms started sweating. Please let nothing go wrong now! Let me be lucky once.

I took Lumi's hand to see if she was willing to be closer to me and thankfully she didn't pull her hand away from me. We went down the path to the beach. I was careful to not walk to fast. She was so much smaller than I, her head stopped at my chin.

Cute.

While she was concentrated to not take a wrong step and slip I looked at her.

Her face has soft curves, no sharp cheekbones, no big lips, just a face you would probably not remember if you walked by. But I wasn't just a someone crossing her way.

Her brown curly bob and the hazel eyes fit her perfectly. She had simple features but she didn't try to hide them. Her confidence made her incredibly attractive to me and her bluntness had me laughing.

We had reached the beach and I began putting all things needed out of the backpack.

As I set down next to her I tested if she was willing to get close to me, so I laid one of my arms around her waist and pulled her closer.

Next thing I knew her head was on my shoulder! My heartbeat fastened and I had a stupid grin planted onto my face.

We sat there for a moment with none of us talking, and I could feel how she was getting uncomfortable.

So I made sandwich for her. As I wanted to feed her though she took it out of my hand and ate it herself.

Embarrassed I turned away from her to hide my blushing face.

"Thank you for doing this. I feel appreciated." Happy and relieved she didn't seem to notice my embarrassment I turned to her.

"I hope you like it." And that you love me too.

She grinned and shyly slid closer. My heart had already left the chat as our skin and hands touched. I really wanted to intertwine them.

Never have I had such huge feelings for a girl before!

"It is really nice but I do feel a little cold." She began to giggle. "It is still winter."

Now I felt dumb. How could I have forgotten that. She never wore anything appropriate to the weather. But that another chance to get closer.

So to her surprise I pulled her up and slung my arms around her waist from behind. My head fit perfectly over her shoulder and as I looked into her face it was all red. Then I took every ounce of confidence I had in myself and kissed her.

It wasn't a long kiss because she pulled away quickly and looked deep into my eyes. Just as she had shattered my confidence and I began to panic on the inside, her lips met mine again and I could feel her smiling.

"Is it warmer now?"

I whispered into her ears and she leaned back on me while giggling like a little girl.

Now she finally was

MINE.
