Getting to know Minho was a rather shocking experience.
The older had this flirty, but also nagging personality and he'd always remind Hyunjin a little bit of a mom picking on her kids.
Not surprisingly, considering that he was older than the raven.
Hyunjin had given him small, unimportant snippets of his life and in return, he had found out a great deal about his kidnappers. Not anything big, but he'll take what he can get.
He constantly danced around the subject, now having to steer the conversation in the direction where he knew Minho would answer the questions he had. Hyunjin never asked anything directly, only masking his true intentions with a patient smile and a listening ear.
Minho wasn't dumb either and he's pretty sure the older was amused by his behavior. Though in the end, he'd make sure to be the one to laugh last.
Ever since he adapted to his new plan, trying to think rationally and tactically as possible, Hyunjin hadn't been causing any trouble, nor had he tried to escape again. His constant reminder of getting out of here lay within the books in his room, whom he now actually started to read. He made himself more comfortable and started using the stuff Minho brought, mainly because they did probably put a goddamn camera in this room without his knowledge and also because he wanted them to believe he wouldn't struggle as much as before.
The results were wonderful.
He still hadn't met anyone other than Minho, but at least now servants would knock at the door and leave his food through a small hatch to the right side of it, leaving Hyunjin to discover something new about his room. It was also around that time when he started to suspect his room was bugged and despite it annoying him greatly, no one ever planned a murder out loud.
Hyunjin didn't have the habit of talking to himself, so all of his plans remained hidden, stored away in his head as he tiptoed around the room and carefully considered his words before talking.
Minho's visits also became more frequent and they ended up eating lunch and breakfast together almost every day. When he asked the older where Minho would go to dinner, the alpha only smiled and gave him a wink before waltzing out of there, his scent giving off a pleasant smell that left him even more curious.
Don't get attached, he had reminded himself after every dinner.
Hyunjin was still not allowed outside his room, even though Minho had begun visiting more and more lately. The door remained locked after every encounter and that was simply it.
Sure, he was frustrated by it, but it's not like things like trust were easy to just give. He even made sure to hide his disappointment every time Minho would leave and if the older had noticed or not, he didn't say.
They were making progress, though. Hyunjin wanted them to trust him. At least well enough for them to be willing to release him from the prison that was "his" bedroom.
Hyunjin still couldn't bring himself to trust them, though. Who would, in a situation like his? So when Minho started acting all caring and nice, displaying a softer side of himself...
To be honest, he doesn't know how or what to feel. Most of the time it just felt strange and he was having a harder time to distinguish which one was the real Minho. It was kicking him in the arse too, because Hyunjin were actually terrified of falling for that act.
It must be an act. It has to be. This man almost raped him! He refused to believe this was the same person he had met on that cold, bitter day.
Back then, it had still been January. Hyunjin could remember the cold and the snow as if it was yesterday. It would've comforted him if he hadn't been kidnapped that day.
