AMELIAS POV
I opened my eyes and it was Saturday. Thank god this week was almost over. I rolled over and grabbed my phone and I had a text from Link.
"Good morning," he sent.
"Good morning," I sent.
"Wanna hangout today?" He sent.
"Sure wanna come over?" I replied.
"Time?" He sent. I looked at my clock and it was 10:30.
"12?" I sent.
"Sure," he sent. I got up and walked downstairs and Meredith and Derek were in the kitchen. I think Mer was going to work today I don't know.
"Good morning," Derek said.
"Morning," I said, "Is it okay if Link comes over today?"
"Sure," Derek said.
"Derek I gotta run," Meredith said, "Bye guys love you both."
"Bye Mer," I said. She ran out and it was just Derek and I.
"How was your date yesterday?" Derek asked.
"It was good," I said.
"That's good," Derek said.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"What are you going to do today here?" Derek asked. I shrugged.
"I don't know," I said, "hangout or something."
"Oh so these came," Derek said and handed me a packet. The custody papers.
"Oh," I said.
"I haven't signed them yet," he said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Is it what you want?" He asked.
"There isn't really another option," I said, "unless Nancy magically wants me or something."
"Okay," he said, "Do you want Meredith to sign them?"
"I don't know," I said, "I mean she takes care of me anyway. Unless you're planning on getting a divorce, then no."
"I'm not planning on getting a divorce," He laughed.
"Then yeah," I said, "sure she can sign them."
"Okay," he said, "we'll do it after dinner."
"Cool," I said.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said and hugged him.
-
Link was now here. We were finishing homework in my room.
"Amelia," Link complained.
"What?" I chuckled as I spun around on my desk chair.
"Can you come cuddle with me?" He said.
"Is someone missing me from 5 feet away?" I joked.
"Please," he said. I smiled as we both got up and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I snuggled into him as he opened his computer.
"What are you working on?" I asked.
"English essay," he said.
"Fun," I said and read over his shoulder.
"Yeah," he chuckled. He kissed my head and I smiled. I got up and he grabbed my hand.
"Don't leave," he pouted.
"I'm just getting my computer," I laughed and got up and grabbed it off my desk.
"You are so clingy," I laughed. He smiled as I sat down next to him.
"What are you working on?" He asked.
"Math," I said.
"Ew," he chuckled.
"You don't like math?" I said.
"I'm bad at math," he said.
"Sucks to be you then," I chuckled.
"Yes it does suck to not be as smart as you," he chuckled.
"I'm not that smart," I said.
"Yes you are," he said.
"So are you," I said. He chuckled and kissed me.
"Are you almost done?" He chuckled impatiently.
"Are you almost done with your essay?" I joked.
"Shut up," he chuckled and playfully pushed me. Playfully. But I froze. I know he didn't mean it like that but I felt like I couldn't breathe.
"Amelia?" Link said. I froze as I felt like I couldn't breathe and tears started forming in my eyes.
"Amelia I didn't mean it like that I'm so sorry," he said.
"I-" I tried speaking.
"Derek! DEREK!" Link yelled. Derek opened my bedroom door and I burst out crying.
"What did you do?" Derek said and looked at Link, "get out." He said it before Link could even answer.
"Amelia what happened?" Derek said as he hugged me, "talk to me."
"It's so embarrassing," I said crying.
"Amelia, what happened?" Derek said.
"I," I started but I just kept crying. Derek held me tightly and kissed my head.
"Do I need to go beat him up?" Derek asked.
"No," I sniffled, "we were just joking around and he pushed me playfully and I freaked out. I know he didn't mean to."
"Oh Amy," Derek frowned, "it's okay."
"I just froze because of Ryan," I said crying.
"I know," Derek said, "it's okay. Did Link say anything after."
"He apologized but I was just so scared I didn't say anything. Is he still here I feel bad, he didn't do anything," I said.
"I told him to go downstairs, I'm sure he's still here. Want me to go get him?" He offered.
"Yeah," I sniffled.
DEREKS POV
I felt so bad for Amelia, and Link. I know he didn't mean to hurt her, and probably wasn't thinking about it. They joke around all the time. I walked downstairs and Link was sitting on the couch.
"Is she okay? I didn't mean to upset her," he said.
"She's okay, and she knows," I said.
"Does she want me to leave?" He said, "I can go."
"No," I said, "she said you can come back up, she feels bad about it."
"It's not her fault it's mine," he said.
"It's Ryan's fault," I said as I looked at him and he nodded.
"I'm sorry if you're mad at me," he said.
"Why would I be mad at you?" I said.
"Because I just made your sister cry," he said.
"You didn't mean it," I said, "it was an accident, you're good for her, and quite frankly I do like you a lot. So don't give me a reason not to."
"Okay," Link nodded, "I can go back upstairs?"
"Yeah she said so," I said.
"Thanks," Link said.
LINKS POV
I felt awful. I wasn't thinking. We were messing around and I forgot about her past with Ryan. I should have known better. I opened her door and she was laying on her bed facing me.
"Hi," she said in a small voice.
"Hi," I said, "I'm really sorry I wasn't thinking. We were messing around and it's not an excuse. I should have been more considerate of your past with Ryan and I just wasn't thinking. I didn't mean to upset or hurt you."
"I know," she said, "it's not your fault. I'm not mad or upset with you, and you didn't hurt me, it just scared me for a second, but I know you would never hurt me like Ryan did, and we were just goofing around. You don't have to apologize it's okay."
"We're okay?" I asked.
"We're okay Link," she said and opened her arms for me. I smiled as I hugged her as I laid down next to her.
"I'd never hurt you," I said softly as I stroked her cheek.
"I'd never hurt you either," she said sweetly and pecked my lips.
