A month later
AMELIAS POV
I was happy. Link and I have been dating for a month. It was going really well. Ryan went to jail. That felt weird, but it's ok. He deserves it. School was going well. I was sitting at lunch with Link and Jo. Jo and I have gotten a little closer, and she's a good friend now, and she's best friends with Link so it works out. She's really nice and funny.
"Link," Jo said.
"Yeah?" Link said looking up from his food.
"Did you do the math homework?" Jo said.
"Would you like to copy it?" Link laughed.
"Maybe," Jo chuckled and he handed it over to her.
"Jo did you do the English homework?" I chuckled.
"Amelia," Link laughed.
"Yeah here," Jo said and gave it to me.
"You two are the same person," link laughed.
"You love it," Jo chuckled.
"Jo this isn't even right," I chuckled.
"Take mine," Link chuckled and gave me a piece of paper.
"Thanks," I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Ew," Jo said.
"You wouldn't be grossed out if you went out with Alex already," I laughed.
"Alex?" Link said.
"Nobody," Jo said.
"Mhm," I chuckled.
"I don't like him shut up," Jo said.
"Alex who?" Link said.
"Alex Karev," I chuckled and Jo kicked me under the table.
"Shut up," Jo chuckled.
"You like him?" Link asked.
"Yes," I said.
"No!" Jo laughed.
"Yes you do," I said and she rolled her eyes.
-
"Hey," Link smiled as he walked up to my locker.
"Hey," I smiled. He smiled as he kissed me.
"I have an idea," I giggled.
"Okay," he said.
"I think you should sleep over," I said, "tonight."
"Derek okay with that?" He asked as he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Well I didn't exactly ask," I chuckled.
"Amelia," he said.
"He really likes you though," I said, "he will probably say yes."
"Okay," Link said, "if Derek said yes then I'll sleep over."
"Well you have to ask your mom too," I chuckled.
"I'll text her," Link said and kissed my forehead, "what are you doing after school today."
"I have to bring Derek something at the hospital that he left at home," I said, "you can come for the ride."
"Sure," Link smiled and we walked out to the parking lot. I drove over to my house and Link met me here. I unlocked the front door and Link followed me inside.
"What did he forget?" He asked.
"His hospital badge hes so stupid," I laughed and grabbed it off the counter, "he's in a long surgery so I don't even know how I'm giving this to him." He chuckled and kissed my forehead. We walked back out to my car and I pulled out of the driveway.
"You driving? This is new," Link joked.
"I am a good driver you know," I chuckled.
"Sure," Link said.
"Hey!" I laughed as I parked at the hospital. We both got out and walked through the ER.
"Amy?" I heard. I turned to see Owen. Or Dr. Hunt I guess. He was Derek's best friend.
"Amelia," I corrected him.
"Right, what are you doing here?" He said.
"Derek forgot this," I chuckled and held up the badge, "do you know where he is?"
"Floor 2," he said.
"Thanks," I said as Link and I walked to the elevator. I pressed the two and the doors eventually opened. I saw Derek filling out a chart or something.
"Looking for something idiot?" I chuckled.
"Nice to see you too," he said and grabbed the badge, "Hi Link."
"Hey," Link said.
"Hey Link can you give us a minute?" I asked.
"Sure," he said.
"What do you need?" Derek chuckled.
"Can Link sleep over tonight?" I asked.
"I won't be home until 6," he said, "I can bring dinner home."
"So is it a yes?" I smiled.
"Is he hanging out there while Mer and I aren't home," he asked.
"Is that a problem?" I said, hoping it wasn't.
"Are you sleeping with him?" He asked.
"No," I said.
"Then it's not a problem," he said, "I don't want any funny business going on."
"There's not I promise," I said, "we'll do
Homework and watch movies."
"Okay," he said, "No sex I'm being serious."
"I know you are," I said, "I'm not sleeping with him."
"He can stay the night," He said, "I'll bring home dinner and Meredith should be home by 4."
"Thank you," I said.
"You're lucky I like the kid," he chuckled.
"I know," I chuckled.
"Have fun," he said.
"Thanks," I said. I walked down the hallway and found Link.
"You can stay the night," I smiled.
"Really?" He said.
"Mhm," I said as we walked back to my car.
-
Link and I were doing homework on the couch together.
"Hey Link," I said.
"Yeah?" He said.
"I'm gonna go shower," I said.
"Okay," he said. We both looked at each other for a moment and I smiled.
"You could come with me," I said nervously.
"I could," he said.
"Just a shower though," I said. He nodded. I smiled as we both ran upstairs. I closed the bathroom door behind me and he smiled.
"Just a shower," I said.
"I know," he said softly and kissed me, "just a shower." He was very considerate about everything. I was not ready to have sex again after Ryan. I don't even know if Link has ever had sex. It's a weird topic.
"You're thinking," he chuckled as he took his shirt off and I smiled.
"Yeah," I smirked and took my shirt off too. He grabbed my hips and kissed me.
"Is it going to be hard to just take a shower?" I joked.
"No," he chuckled.
"Have you ever?" I started.
"No," he said.
"Really?" I asked seriously.
"Uh yeah," he said, "I haven't."
"Oh well that's okay because I don't really want to right now anyway," I said, "just because of, you know."
"I know," he said softly.
"Okay," I said.
"Okay," he said. I leaned up and kissed him and then pulled him into the shower with me. I giggled as he kissed me.
"Your shampoo smells nice," he said and kissed me again.
"I know," I chuckled and grabbed the soap. Link started washing my hair and I smiled.
"I love you," I said. I said it. I've been thinking it for a while and I finally said. He looked at me and didn't say anything. Shit. I said it too soon. I messed it up. Fuck.
"I love you too," he said.
