i pressed accept as soon as it popped up on my phone and smiled, "hey." he looked at me, concern washed all over his face, "hi faye"

"so um, i'm sorry if i scared you, i kinda realized after i sent my text how it could freak you out." he paused, but laughed. i felt myself finally breathe out, i was worried i had upset him.

"it's alright, just tell me whatever it is that you so urgently have to tell me." he smugly said. i sat at my desk and placed my phone in front of me, my hand going back to touch my rings.

"well, i honestly don't know how to say this, but please don't hate me. Nick, i like you. a lot." i now looked down at my hands as well, i was too afraid to see what his face looked like after my confession.

it was quiet for what felt like hours but was likely only 30 seconds. my heart dropped all the way to my stomach as time went on.

he cleared his throat, "Farah, look at me." i did as he asked and looked at my phone to see his bright smile shining back at me.

"Farah I like you too, a lot." a smile slowly creeped across my face as he spoke. "really?" i asked him, tucking my loose hair behind my ear.

"of course, honestly i have since the day i met you." i felt my smile grow even bigger, any fear i had before was completely gone now.

"that was wow, just a lot easier than i was expecting." i saw him laugh, and i felt that same butterflies that i always do.

"Farah trust me, it is not hard to like you, it's not hard at all." he paused for a moment, he leaned back into his chair then sat up straight again, "i'm just glad you told me, dream was threatening me to tell you himself because all i do is talk about you."

at this point i couldn't stop smiling, i figured Kayla had probably felt the same way. at this point all i did was talk about Nick. she probably was going to start blackmailing me too.

"kayla was the one who told me to tell you, but at least she wasn't threatening me." i laughed, i can't imagine dream would've actually told me, but the thought it quite funny.

i found myself just looking at him, "now i really just want to hug you." i loved talking to him all the time, but i just knew that seeing him in person would be so different and even better.

"well you could always come see me, i'd let you stream with me." he said
"wait really? i can just go out there?" i asked

"of course you can, if you want to of course." i didn't think it would be that easy to just plan us meeting up, "don't tempt me cause i'll look into ticket prices and probably fly out there before you can even change your mind."

he chuckled, "now faye, why would i change my mind?" he asked me.
"i don't know, maybe i'm too crazy for you."

we laughed together, "i want you to come see me" he spoke up. i smiled so hard, i wanted to go see him and he also wanted to see me.

"i'll figure it out."

i didn't stay on the phone with Nick too much longer after we talked about flights, mostly because i wanted to run into Kayla's room and gush about how perfect it went. but first i wanted to actually start looking into flights.

i had traveled some in the past, but it was always with my mom and brother so i never had to be the one to pay for it or just even look into any of it.

i saw the prices and realized they weren't that bad, i figured i would talk to Nick about it tonight and see what dates would work for him so i could possibly fly out there.

i shut my laptop and placed it back on my desk, walking out of my room to go give Kayla the run down of everything that happened.

"kaylaaaaaaa, miss kaylaaaaaa!" i yelled out as i walked through our apartment looking for my best friend.

"farah shut the fuck up" i heard her yell from the kitchen, i forgot that she told me she was trying to film an ad read for whatever food service sponsor that she had gotten for her newest video.

"sorry sorry, any chance you can take a break?" i asked her as i walked into the kitchen.
she looked over at me and the smile i had on my face, "yeah sure, what's up?"

i filled her in on everything that had just went down, she freaked out more than i did and was overly excited about it. "i'm so happy for you, finally you can get a boyfriend."

i laughed, it was kind of crazy to me how badly Kayla wanted me to get into a relationship. she wanted me to start dating again more than she wanted to even think about possibly getting into a relationship.

"and well, i'm thinking about flying out there" i paused, "to go see him"

the look in Kayla's eyes said it all, she dropped everything in her hands and ran over to jump on me. she picked me up in her arms squeezing me so hard, "OH MY GOD!" she screamed in my ear, "my little baby really is going to get a boyfriend!!"

we jumped around with each other for a long time, being excited little girls together. i got thrown all the way back to when me and Kayla were just freshman on the volleyball team winning our first match together. jumping up and down like the happiest girls in the world.

after we calmed down, i sat at the kitchen counter to watch Kayla try and film her ad. laughing at her throughout the whole thing just to give her a hard time like she had been giving me all morning.

i honestly could not be happier.
