the cool morning air hit us in the face as we walked out the automatic doors.

the amount of noise from cars trying to pass or just waiting out front was surprising. i didn't expect the airport to be this busy at 5 am on a weekday. then again, LAX is always extremely busy.

i dragged nick towards kayla's car that has just pulled back up in front of us.

i went to the back of the car and tapped on the trunk, her unlocking it and popping it open so we could put our bags inside of it.

we then both got in the car, nick being adorable as always and opening my door for me.

"ugh maybe chivalry isn't dead" kayla said as i sat down in the front seat, nick getting into the back and scooting into the middle so he could talk to the two of us easier.

i heard him laugh as he buckled his seatbelt, "gotta look out for her, she probably would've tried to get in with the door closed"

i gasped loudly as kayla started laughing, "guess i don't have to threaten you, looks like we're already on the same page about ms farah"

i huffed as the two continued to laugh about me, not really taking it to heart because i found it funny as well. it's just more fun to pretend like i was actually hurt by what they were saying. i sat with my arms crossed, turning to look at the boy in the backseat. i shook my head at him, he just smiled innocently back at me.
