Chapter 24

"MinaYeon"

NAYEON's POV

I am sitting on the couch while bothered. I have three things that bothers me at the moment.

First, Jennie and Kai. Kai will tell the truth to her and I'm nervous on how she would act. I hope she wouldn't get hurt that much, I don't want that to happen. But I also hope that Kai would stop lying to her.

Second, Jeongyeon. She's been doing better but I would bet Seungcheol's gums that Jeonghan is still keeping the truth from his own girlfriend. What an asshole.

Third, Dahyun is spacing out. I don't know why but she is spacing out. I want to ask her but I am so bothered by the two things!

"Dahyun, you fine?" Momo asked and took a seat. She opened the television and saw headlines of Seventeen's magazine photoshoot.

"Oh great. They're everywhere. I guess we can't avoid them," Momo giggled. I nodded, "seems like it. We'll forever be tied to them," I answered.

Speaking of. My phone rang and it is Seungcheol. "Cheol?" I answered.

"I'll be there in ten minutes, are you prepared?"

I jumped off the sofa. I forgot! I forgot that we'll be going out today! Aish, Im Nayeon!

"Y-Yeah!"

I lied and ended the phone call. I ran upstairs to prepare. Gosh, I really can't believe I forgot!

"Why are you running?" Jihyo asked as I almost run through her because of my panic. "Sorry!" I said.

I closed the door and immediately took off my clothes and change into decent ones. I mean, I am literally on my layered coats and  thick gloves! I look like a huge snowman.

I didn't bother to apply make up. I'm confident without it anyway.

I wore my beanie and grabbed my bag. I ran outside and saw his car already waiting. I got inside, "did you wait long?"

He shook his head, "Just about 3 minutes. Let's go," he said and started to drive.

My phone suddenly received a text message. I opened it since it's from Jennie. My heart is beating so fast.

Nini
Can you come over?
Please, I need you right now.

I promised Seungcheol that I'll spend the day with him but I guess I'll be breaking that.

Yeonni
Where are you?

My condo

Yeonni
I'm on my way

"Uhm. Cheol, can you drop me to Jennie's?" I asked. He glanced at me, surprised.

"She texted me and she sa---."

"I understand, Nayeon. I'll drop you," he smiled. "I'm sorry I couldn't spend time with you today," I apologized.

He's driving but he glanced at me a little bit, "don't be sorry. I understand, there would me another time," he said.

He dropped me at Jennie's condo and accompanied me into the unit. Seungcheol stayed outside but since Jennie is a very nice girl, even the topic we're going to talk about is sensitive, she insisted hin to go inside.

"He told me the truth," Jennie stated. "He told me that you knew about this and that you are the one that pursued him to tell me," she added.

I nodded, "I'm sorry," I said while lowering my head. Jennie lifted ny head up and pats my shoulder, "You don't have to be sorry, Yeon. In fact, I am really grateful. Thank you for telling me the truth early, I don't think I could handle it if it lasted."
