Chapter Twenty Seven: Triangle

(Kakashi's POV)

It had been about a week since Mayumi left for Itachi's hideout. For that entire week I felt like I was on edge. I was extremely worried about Mayumi's safety, all while trying to get an allied forces squad together to help take Lord Kaneko down. I was able to persuade: Might Guy, Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuhi, Anko Mitarashi, Fū Yamanaka, Hana Inuzuka, Ibiki Morino and Inoichi Yamanaka.

After explaining what had happened on the mission Mayumi had gone on to the others, they quickly understood how urgent the situation was. We had ordered a team of hidden leaf ninja to guard Lord Hokage nonstop until the situation was handled and his safety was guaranteed. We had medical ninja on standby and just needed to sit and plan the official attack. I sighed deeply to myself as I looked over a map of the warehouse where the children were being held.

The rustling sound of the wooden door opened, revealing the face I wanted to see the most. Mayumi stood in the doorway to my room on base, her long white hair was braided down her back, and her green eyes sparkled as soon as our eyes met. I quickly sat the map down and hurried to her. As soon as I felt her toned slender body in my arms, I felt like a weight had fallen off of my shoulders. She wrapped her arms around the back of my neck and held me tight, almost like she was afraid of letting go.

"Mayumi, I'm so glad you came back in one piece. I was worried about you..." I whispered against her temple, leaving small kisses on her skin.

"I know you were... I'm sorry Kakashi. I knew we would stand no chance if we didn't recruit someone with a personal vendetta against my father. I know it was reckless, please forgive me." She spoke softly, her voice making my heart skip a beat. I smiled softly as I pulled her face up to look me in the eyes.

"I'm just glad you're back... I've missed you." I stated as an attractive blush crawled across Mayumi's rosey cheeks. I pulled my face mask down under my chin and pulled Mayumi close with my other arm. She smirked wickedly as I leaned down and pressed my lips against hers. Feeling her lips against mine made my skin feel like it was on fire. Mayumi pressed her body closer to mine as I grabbed both of her firm ass cheeks with my hands.

"K-Kakashi...w-we shouldn't.." Mayumi gasped between moans as I stopped for a moment. I reached up and brushed a loose strand of her Snow White hair behind her ear.

"And why shouldn't we?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Because Kakashi we have a mission to complete,Remember?" She retorted as I sighed deeply. I knew she was right, but I wanted her so bad I could barely control myself. I grabbed a hold of her hips and pulled her back into my arms, causing her to groan.

"The mission can wait for a little while longer. I've missed you Mayumi..." I muttered against the skin on her supple neck. Mayumi whimpered softly and blushed as she sighed deeply.

"You're not making this easy on me, are you?" She questioned as I stopped trailing kisses down her neck long enough to chuckle a bit.

"Nothing in life is easy Mayumi. Sometimes you have to work for what you want..." I muttered as I trailed my hands down her spine and to her plump ass. "And I'm definitely willing to work for what I want." I added as I smacked her left ass cheek causing one of the most erotic sounds I have ever heard to escape Mayumi's lips.

"K-KAKASHI!" Mayumi squealed and smacked my arm playfully, causing a cheerful chuckle to come out of my mouth. I released my hold on her as I pulled my mask back up with a huge smile on my face. With her everything felt right, I felt at home with her.

"How was the mission Mayumi?" I asked, curious as to how she managed to not only get out of the Akatsuki hideout alive, let alone convince Itachi Uchiha to aid us in our efforts. Her emerald green eyes scanned the room for a second, almost as if she was looking for any way to avoid the conversation.

"Well I-" Mayumi began to speak as the door to my quarters flung open and a panicked Rin frantically ran in.

"Mayumi! I heard you arrive back in the village safely. I needed to see with my own eyes that you were alright." Rin's cringe worthy words caused me to practically gag in annoyance as Mayumi pulled her arm above her head, softly brushing the back of her elegant braid.

"Well, now you've seen me. I'm alright Rin, calm down." Mayumi sighed as Rin took a deep breath, his violet eyes practically shooting daggers at me from across the room.

"Kakashi." Rin hissed at me, I guess it was his way of acknowledging my existence, not that I necessarily wanted him too.

"Rin, always a pleasure to see you." I sarcastically stated, causing Mayumi to sigh deeply.

"Can you two stop for just five seconds?" Mayumi asked, her voice a few octaves higher than what it had been before. I could tell that she was annoyed just by the change in her stance. She ran her hands through the strands of hair that had escaped her delicate braid.

"Mayumi-" Rin tried to speak, but Mayumi held her hand up in frustration before he could finish his sentence.

"I'm sick and tired of you two bickering like children. We have more important things going on right now besides our love lives. Get it together you two, seriously." Mayumi yelled, causing both of us to close our mouths.

"Itachi will send a messenger hawk in a few days with his side of the plans. Until then we should wait and prepare. Put aside the childish matters for the time being." She finished as she turned and headed out for the door, leaving Rin and I dumbfounded in my quarters.
