"How dare you show up empty handed" Arbaz roared making the men cower back in hesitancy.

"Sir.. they escaped. We followed them but we couldn't get our hands on them" a man stepped forwarding to explain himself. His head whipped to the side and ears ring as tht aftermath of a powerful slap.

"Fucking imbeciles, how can they escaped and hide in tht middle of nowhere? Idiots" he raged making them stiff as boards.

"Find them within two days or else none of you will get to see another day" he said banging his hand on the table dismissing them.

Arbaz slammed the paper weight on the glass wall making Zaryab flinch. He gazed at the man infront who seethed in rage for a girl who would never be his.

He clutched the files in his hand before walking up to his desk, adjusting his glasses on the bridge of his nose he peeked up at him from the shattered glass on tht floor.

"Sir" he called making Arbaz's gaze to turn to him.

"What? Uh.. Zaryab come come" Arbaz said gesturing him to come closer.

Zaryab walked over the broken pieces of glass, the piece shattered under the sole of his shoe as he stayed rigid under the arm of his boss.

"Zaryab my brother how grateful I am to have you with me right now" Arbaz said looping an arm around Zaryab's shoulder, his brown eye stayed stuck on his hand that patted his shoulder.

"Is everything alright sir?" He asked tilting his head and pulling away.

"I want you to locate Zoya for me. Find her. Visit your cousin if you have to" he said staring at him with a determination that made Zaryab nod stiffly.

"By the way why were you here?" He asked making Zaryab clear his throat.

"Yes. Zoya's grandmother is becoming A handful to handle now. What shall we do?" He asked with his fist clenching against the files.

"Well. Call our gang doctor and have him take a look at her. We need to keep her alive till I say so." Arbaz said turning his back at Zaryab who stared at his back and left nodding.

"Shahana Shafi khan you can't die right now. You still have yet to drag your granddaughter here to me" A throaty laugh erupted from his lips as he stared at Zoya's portrait from Zahid's mehndi that hung highly on his office wall.

Zahan felt himself gaining back his consciousness. He squinted his eyes and looked around wincing at the pain that shot through his arm.

"What.. where are-"

"Einstein. Oh God you're okay. Do you know how scared I was when you passed out" someone tackled him back with their arms around his neck.

He winced in pain at the sudden jolt making her pull away with a guilty expression on her face. He stared at her who looked near to tears.

"Sorry. Your arm's still not healed" Zoya said pushing him down on the small bed.

"Where are we? How long has it been? Zoya?" He asked question after question making her sigh and roll her eyes.

"Well. After we ran away from the cottage the people still followed us and we ran as much as we could. Then after a while you passed out basically in tht middle of nowhere and with no help around. These few tribal people found us and brought you here. You've been out for almost a day and a half" she said putting her chin on her palm.
